Very interesting indeed, sorry that I don't have a solution to your problem

I have Great Danes that are always shedding. The vet has my give them fish oil and it helps alot! Small dogs you can just put it in their food. I would advise getting the burpless kind. LOL

I've always had a shedding problem with my dog, she is a border collie/blue heeler mix. She is 13 years old, now. In the last year I have been taking her to a professional groomer every 6 weeks for a bath and deep conditioning. It seems to have substantially helped the shedding problem. Now, we only have to vacuum once a week, rather than twice a day!

Giving your dog apple cider vinegar will help, as well as feeding them raw meat. I normally feed my rotts raw chicken breast as it makes their fur healthier and look shinier. Just make sure to drain the blood from the chicken before feed them.

My dad has told me before that I should avoid giving fish and other sort of sea foods to my dog to avoid the hair sheds. He seems to look better now and the hair shedding is reduced. I am thinking what should I put in his diet now to make up for the fish and sea foods.

A good brushing regularly helps. I had to do that with my chow-mixes.
