I'm hoping to be able to sign up as a new designer after the hold is lifted. I was wondering, for those of you currently selling OO, which starter kit did you choose? what was the reasoning? and which would you recommend that someone who is just starting choose?
Thanks

I started with the $199 kit. I had never done direct sales before and I wasn't sure how I would like it, so I wanted to invest as least as possible to see if it was for me, etc. Now that I've started, I'm really enjoying it and the product is really selling itself.
So, now I wish I would have at least got the $399 kit... - more inventory to have at launch party to show people (+ some could make & take their items home with them) - 50% of the kit counts towards your sales volume for the month (with $199 kit = $0 volume) Hope that helps. If you haven't already been speaking to another designer, feel free to email me at jodiocken@gmail.com to help answer any other questions.

I would start with whatever kit is in your budget. I personally started with the $399 kit so I could sell from it right away. There is enough to do at least one party. If I had the money, I would have purchased a larger kit b/c I sold through my first kit so quickly!

Thanks for the insight ladies
Do you find that it makes a big difference for people to be able to buy cash and carry, or are they okay placing orders? Also, how much is shipping? I'm hoping to do several fairs this summer, so I'm trying to get an idea of how much inventory I should have. |

The more inventory you have, the more they buy! But if some people want to order, they are ok with that too, especially when doing parties. Shipping is 7.95 if sent directly to the customer. When I do an event, I add a $2 shipping charge to help with my shipping expenses.

I have done several parties where the guests order and so far they have been fine with it. I started with the $199 kit but have worked up to having at least one of most items so they can play with and visualize what it will look like. I am working towards getting more items so they can make & take though. I have actually held off on doing big events until I can get to that point, which should be soon
