Default Tutor.com - Second chance for unsuccessful applicants?

My application to become a tutor at Tutor.com was recently turned down at the "mock session" stage of the application process for repeatedly rescheduling my appointments (I could never find the time to prepare). I had always rescheduled them with a bad conscience but came to believe anyway that it was causing no real trouble. This week, however, I was unexpectedly informed that due to "last-minute" cancellations of my appointments my application was turned down (though generally I cancelled the day or night before the appointment date).

It appears, now, that I cannot even start up a new account and try again, because the applications are streamed through identity (SS#). Is there anything I can do? I wonder if it might be possible to have the decision withdrawn after a certain waiting period?

Does anyone here has an answer? I would write to the staff again, but I think they must be quite sick of me.

Mine was rejected for trying and failing to many initial subject tests. I also thought that there was no issue n doing this. I was told I could reapply in 90 days. I did, but have been wait listed for ages.

Thank you.

I did end up writing to the staff and was informed that the accounts of unsuccessful applicants are "purged" 90 days after their appearance, so your being wait-listed so long might not due to the fact that your first application was unsuccessful.

Advertise that you are available to tutor on Craigslist. Then you can meet your students at the local library and charge what you want. I found my daughter's Reading Specialist on Craigslist and she was wonderful! Good luck!!

I hope you can reapply! My application was rejected too right from the get-go and from the email I got, I gathered it was because the PC I have access to didn't meet the technical requirements. I was actually planning on purchasing a PC laptop of my own, as I own a Mac but have been wanting a PC as well, since other WAH jobs seem to require them. So I'm hoping that by April I will have a brand new PC and would love to reapply with the right technical specs.
