The interview is about 30 minutes or an hour, if I remember right. They go through some general questions and tell you what to expect when you teach. They are really nice. They check your technical stuff, too, I think.

jessupsamuel - Thanks!! It will be via webcam, right? I better start brushing up on some answers to interview questions now! Would you say it's similar to a standard face to face job interview? The interview is tomorrow evening. Anything else I should know beforehand to be well prepared? Oh, and I do not have the headset/microphone they want you to have. I was thinking about buying one and just returning it to the store if I don't get hired. Is it necessary for the interview?

Cindy1211 - I scheduled mine online while I was applying for the job. It is supposed to be tonight at 9:00. I'll definitely let you know how it goes! I'm excited, yet nervous!

I had my interview last night and it went very well. I was hired on the spot and have my training in 5 days. I just need to go and buy a headset and then I can start teaching after the training.

I also set up my working schedule, but I'm not sure how much sleep I'm going to get! How many classes do you guys teach per day and what hours are you working?

I hope your interview went well, Serendipity! I needed a headset at least for my interview so that we could talk. I find that MSN messenger is usually the best way to get in touch with TutorABC personnel.

I only do 5 sessions a week in the evenings, as I have a 4 month-old to deal with in the mornings, when I would prefer to teach. I've done up to about 15 or so a week in the past, though, when I had another PT job.

I think I am going to have to cut back the number that I signed up for. I don't know when I would sleep otherwise. My husband works a crazy schedule and I have 2 toddlers with another one on the way. I really need the money though.

I am just sitting here waiting to start my training. I've had a few problems so far - I could not watch the training videos and I also could not upload a video on the expanded application. Hopefully I can get some help with that tonight.

I understand that. I used to teach in the mornings, but with the baby, we're both up early. At night, I'm too tired to do more than one session. I taught while I was pregnant, and they were really good about giving me leave while I got my life back in some kind of order.

I changed my schedule to just 1 class a day. I figure I can add more later if it works out that way. Did you just take a leave close to when your due date was coming up? How long of a leave did you take? My due date is in 12 weeks so I'll have to figure something out fairly soon.

I have my first session in the morning! I'm nervous. It seems like there is a lot to remember so I hope I don't forget anything that I'm supposed to do.
