I am a fairly new JJ consultant (signed up in October) and I was wondering if any consultant used lapboards when they did parties and how did it work for them? I am really liking the professionalism the lapboards seem to give to a presentation but then I'm wondering about if it would be beneficial.
The other question is I really want to get my business out there and want to know what is the best way to get my name out there. I should mention I am also the owner of a small publication company so I can create flyers, business cards, etc., but where is the best place to put them? Also has anyone ever tried going into salons on the weekends to sell JJ and how did you display your jewelry? Thanks for any help you ladies can give. Kim P.S. I am soooooo super excited about the Launch event. This will be my first time attending anything like this and I can't wait!!!!

Congrats Kim on becoming a JJ consultant. I personally have not used lapboards but I have been to parties where they were used. It does make it easier for the customers and seemed very professional.
1. As far as business cards, when you go out to eat, leave one. 2. Everywhere you see something posted, post a flyer that has a pic of our jewelry and your contact information. 3. Get involved with vendor events in your area. 4. I am going to give a few family members a piece or set of jewelry with some business cards so they can help be walking advertisements for me (tax write-off). 5. Make a fanpage on Facebook for your friends to join so they can stay updated with the specials and give them some special "sale" prices. 6. Draft a letter for area salons and or bridal salons that "announces" your business. Sometimes they want to team up with you or just display your info. 7. Find the senior sponsor of your local high school. Send them a flyer and/or catalog that features jewelry that would go well with prom dresses since prom season is right around the corner. 8. Wear your jewelry wherever you go even if it is to take out the trash (lol). 9. Tell all your neighbors and give them a catalog. 10. Make sure the teachers at your children's school have a catalog as well and ask to put it in the teacher's lounge. 11. Any bridal shows offered in your area? Jump on board! These are just a few ideas. I hope that helps! |

Thanks so much for your help. Those are some great ideas. I have done maybe 3 of them and I'm going to start working on the others today. I love how helpful everyone at JJ is all the time. Thanks again.

I'm not with Just Jewelry..but I use lap boards at my parties and several customers have thanked me since it makes it easier for them to write their orders, hold everything, etc.
I just bought 3 ring binders at the Dollar Store and cut them in half. 2 lap boards for a buck. Way cheaper than what I could find online and they work just as well. |
