Default Credit Card Company

Hello Ladies!

I believe I have made my decision to sign up with Just Jewelry. I have a wonderful lady I am working with and will be a new consultant as of next week. One thing I love about this company is how I can sell at craft shows, vendor events etc. I have been trying to find a good credit card company that won't charge large set-up and monthly fees as well as one that offers cell phone credit card processing. Do you have a specific company that you use where they have good customer service and you get your money promptly? Please help!

Thanks!!!!!

Woohoo, welome aboard! You made a very wise decision.

To answer your question: Squareup dot com. I've been using square on my smartphone for a few months and love it! Free swiper, no monthly fee, email/text receipt to cusomer, notations section on receipt, reasonable per transaction fees......so easy!

I agree! Square is great. I only use it when I sell samples, as my company provides credit card processing for direct sales, but it has been wonderful. I got a pen that works on my iphone to take the person's signature, and I take a picture of the item and email the receipt that way. It's quick, convenient, and easy, and the fees are great.

Some of the swipers seem defective, so if you have trouble getting yours to work, call and have them send you a new one. Fees are higher if you manually enter the card info (and who wants to do that anyway???), so take the time to test it by charging $5 to one of your own credit cards before you take it to a show and lose a lot of $$ to fees!

Default credit card

I went to the review boards and sooooo many people are complaining about squareup and how they have horrible customer service. Some of them are complaining about not getting paid, them holding their money, and no one returns their calls from customer service. I was kind of worried about signing up with them.

I use square up in my salon and my husband uses it for his tattoo business. My co-workers do as well too. No one has had any problems and in fact I love it! Do you have to process your own credit cards with JJ?

Yes, we process credit cards on our own. JJ has a special agreement with ProPay for a reduced fee for service. It is not required that we use them though, and since Square has no yearly fees, and neat features, I choose to use them.

I know LOTS and LOTS of colleagues who use Square and have heard no complaints at all. I get my money very quickly (quicker than I did with ProPay) and have had no issues at all. Also, if you have a problem with the swiper, turn your phone off then back on and that may solve the problem as it happened to me

That's odd that you've heard so many reports of problems. My money always shows up in my account like clockwork following the normal delay for ACH transfers (24-48 hours). I've never had an issue with anything except the swiper not working, and part of that was just getting the hang of how to swipe it when it was new.
