Default My Daughter Broke Her Arm

Yesterday my daughter fell off her scooter and broke her arm. She tried to turn around really fast and fell off and her elbow hit the pavement. She cracked the bone right above her elbow, and today she got a full arm cast (it goes from her hand almost all the way to her shoulder).

She always wears her helmet but I am embrassed to admit that she hardly ever wears her knee and elbow pads (same with all the kids in the neighborhood). I don't know if wearing elbow pads would have prevented the crack or not, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Just wanted to share so hopefully this won't happen to anyone else.

Thanks ladies! She is having to sit with her arm propped up above her shoulder right now to prevent swelling. Poor thing.

Yes, from now on she will definitely wear ALL of her protective gear when she goes out.

Just a couple months ago, my granddaughter (4 yrs old) broke her arm. Sad to see, but kids generally adjust to the cast & end up having fun with it - everyone signing it, etc.
