Default Healthy Lunches for Kids

I work with a ton of moms and dads and as school is getting ready to start again, I know a huge concern for them is how to provide a healthy lunch for their kids. There seem to be a lot of foods out there for healthy lunches but what about those super sugary drinks? Is there a replacement for those?

We have what we think is a great solution for that problem, juice boxes, made by Odwalla. We started a Facebook page to see how many people are interested, to give parents a place to talk about health lunches and to try to get Odwalla's attention.

Search "Odwalla Juice Boxes for Lunchboxes" on Facebook and Like the page if you would love to see this product become a reality.

Absolutely I agree with you 100% I am not a fan of school lunches at all.

I always send them with a homemade lunch. They do get their milk at school though. I send water for them to drink throughout the day.

My kids school serves breakfast for them every morning for free and they provide milk for them as well. They start earlier at 8am to promote eating a healthy breakfast before school starts. I'm so grateful they do this because my kids have a hard time getting on the bus on time let alone eating breakfast before they go.

I also send in a healthy lunch with a veggie and organic juice box(lowest sugar I can find)

Water bottle for the desk for all day sipping.

Small bag of pretzels or crackers or a granola bar for snack.

They are allowed to buy on Pizza Fridays plus once a month on brunch for lunch day which they love!

This year, my son who will be in 6th, has a deli counter at his cafeteria.
Nice option huh?

I have a teenager, so I make sure she has a good breakfast every day, typically a smoothie. Even though she is a teen, I'm very impressed with her food choices, very concious of pesticides and preservatives, in fact, pointed these things out to me, and converted me to all organic fruits and veggies in our home.
