She hasn't acted any different than normal so if she had a fever, I missed it and she didn't feel bad.

My money's on heat rash. My DC all get them really bad. Especially if you say it's hot there. (Hot here too! Surprsied my DS hasn't gotten them yet.) I wouldn't think it's Chicken Pox. Those look more like blisters. Have they had the chicken pox vaccine? Try to give them a leukwarm bath and have them wear light clothes. If you can cool them down, heat rash will start to diminish.

Thing is -- my nephew had the Chicken Pox and it was the last thing on our minds because they didn't blister at all until the very end. They were little, red, dry feeling bumps! I told my sisit was a heat rash or perhaps a milk rash or something'cause he has such a chubby little neck. But when it started spreading, she took him in and that was the verdict. I certainly hope it's just a little heat rash that goes away as I wouldn't wish the CP on any person but we had a little surprise here in our house when he went in for his rash that was on his neck. The best guess would be to take her in for her appointment if they haven't gone away -- and let the doc decide.

It could be excema. My son has it and it flares up for no reason, heat, dry skin etc. Go tothe doctor. I moisturize Lucas 3 times a day with Arbonne's lotion for baby's-great stuff and we have a cream from the doctor for intense breakouts. I even have him on zyrtec for the itching. Keep us posted. Thanks for all the advice! I'm taking her in to see the doctor Friday afternoon. Till then, I'll just keep doing what I've been doing. I even emailed my mom a picture to see if she knows what it is. I'm lost on this one! I'll have to check her shot records to see if she's had thechicken poxvaccine. I'm thinking that she was supposed to have itduring her 1 yr checkup but the drdecided to wait till her next visit because I hadn't given her eggs yet. It was a shot that she could have a reaction to if she's allergic to eggs... can't remember if it waschicken pox vacc.or not. Anyways, she's had eggs now and isn't allergic. |

I was going to say heat rash. You can also use caladryl.

It might be something called Fifth Disease which is just another viral rash. My daughter had it last year, it starts out looking like that, and then it turns kind of lacey looking. I believe it usually starts with a red face, kind of looks like she was slapped. Did she have anything like that?

I don't think it's Chicken Pox - probably some kind of viral rash. I had something like that a couple of years ago and the dr. said to soak in Aveeno baths and take Benadryl. It didn't really help but than a friend told me about a soap called POLY-TAR. It is non-prescription but you have to ask the pharmacist for it. I took one bath with that stuff and was in heaven. This viral rash that the dr. said would take 6 weeks to clear was gone in a week. The soap doesn't smell to great but it's fabulous.
