I have not been to Broadway in quite a long time, but I have a couple of friends go recently and they loved Wicked and Jersey Boys.
Enjoy. I am jealous. |

I took oldest daughter this summer for her graduation present. We saw Wicked and Phantom and both were breathtaking. I was in the 2nd row for Phantom of the Opera and I was completly mesmerized by the entire thing. My daughter cried through most of Wicked. We are theatre geeks so it was so awesome. I really want to see Jersey Boys. I heard its fantastic.

Hi and good for you and hubby that you'll be taking this extended vacation trip! Sounds like fun. I'm not big on musicals, so I can't chime in about most Broadway offers, but I might recommend going a little "off Broadway" (for some really surprising plays) in addition to the big shows.
I also recommend the Metropolitan Museum along with the Guggenheim and Museum Of Modern Art. Even if you're not a big art buff, it is quite a thrill to see famous works live. And don't forget to check out Chinatown for dinner or great pastry and then stroll over to Little Italy right next door. Central Park is also a must! Brings back memories of being in art school and going to my favorite haunts. If you're into music--NYC has legendary clubs as well. I guess these are obvious suggestions, but they do bring back memories. Wishing you and hubby the best time, Annie |

P.S. Can you still catch Woody Allen playing clarinet Monday nights at Michael's Pub? Probably not any more...but it was cool...
