Need a work from home job

I just signed up today. I am a stay at home mom with 3 children. I have experience in recruiting and human resources. I need a job that I can do from home.

It sounds like you have a great background. My husband is a Sr. Vice President of Human Resources for a large compay here in the Phoenix area and it is a great industry to be in.

I was in training/sales for over 12 years and started to look for work about a year ago. I found that a home based business was the best fit for me since we have 4 children.

You might want to take a look at other non-traditional avenues besides just working in an office as a recruiter. Lots of FUN stuff out there.

You do have some really good skills and they would easily translate into a Virtual position. However, with the economy still struggling finding those positions may be difficult. HR is often the first to be eliminated, but companies do tend to work with HR "consultants", but you would need to have some good contacts and past relationships to get something going. I have some friends that are recruiters for various industries and they are struggling because there are too many people and not enough openings to work with. They are not meeting their quotas for the month or at least barely doing it. Companies are using recruiting firms less and less with so many people in the marketplace. But, you might try to create a profile on Linkedin and start connecting with people that you have known in various organizations and that could lead you to a connection that could help you.

I was laid off in Nov. because my background is Marketing, which goes along with HR as the "first to go" when cuts are made. It was a great job where I worked at home, also. Fortunately, a year prior to that I was "nervous" about the stability of the job and my husband and I started a Home Based business as a part-time venture. Now I am using it to work full time as I continue my job search and network.

We made a few mistakes along with way - it was not easy trying to decide what was right for us and how to go about it, but we are now well on our way!
