I'm not an adoptive mommy, but I am an adoptive aunt. My sister adopted a son and my bil and his wife adopted a son and daughter.

Does that count?

I would say adoptive aunts count

How neat that your family has been touched by adoption twice!

So nice to "meet" you.

I am an adoptive mom of 2 in addition to our 4 bio children. We adopted our daughter from Russia almost 8 years ago when she was 11 months old. We also have a son that we adopted from Guatemala 4 years ago.

Would love to connect with other adoptive moms.

Sue,

Wow!! You have your hands full. Our daughter was born here, and we were able to bring her home from the hospital. When she was 2 years old we got the surprise of our lives --I was pregnant. My son is now 2 and my daughter will be 5 this month.

I do think at some point we may adopt again--or I would like, to as we can not have any other biological children (my son was a surprise and blessing, but that cannot happen again).

Melissa,

How fun to be able to bring her right home from the hospital. I love it when I hear of people who are blessed with such a wonderful surprise when it wasn't supposed to happen - what a miracle!

While the adoption process of our children was certainly an emotional roller-coaster at times, it was so worth it and I feel very blessed. My kids never tire of hearing their adoption story.

I'm an adopted aunt/mommy. LOL What I mean is, I was adopted as an aunt by my best friend's kids as soon as they were born but their mom got into some trouble so now I'm raising my nephew full-time and my nieces part-time.

My name is Jenny. Nice to meet you all!

Nice to meet you Jenny! You sound like one busy lady! I went to your website & your soaps and lotions sound really nice. I love goat's milk lotions and handmade soaps.

We should have a folder for adoptive moms on here!

Thanks, Sue! I AM pretty busy! WAHMS always get an extra 10% off their order if they put "WAHM" in the notes so don't be shy about ordering, heh heh!

Also if any of you adopted mom's/aunts/families don't save BoxTops from cereal boxes, cake mixes, etc. for YOUR kid's schools, how about saving them and sending them to me for my nephew's school? I've attached a photo to show what we're trying to collect for our school.

I think it would be really cool to have a folder for adopted "mommies." All kinds of mommies need support and to know they're not alone!
