Thumbs up Swapmamas.com

I came across this site while looking for consignment shops for my kids clothes. There is no selling, and no buying.

QUOTE:

"GET STARTED!

Step 1. Sign up! (psst ... it's free.)

Step 2. Fill out your profile, upload a photo and create your own custom page. This is how swapmates will get to know you, what items you have to swap, and what items you're looking for.

Step 3. Join a local group – this is especially great for larger items and avoiding shipping costs.

Step 4. Join any and all groups that interest you, read the group rules and start DISCUSSIONS about the items you have to swap and/or the items you’re looking for. This is KEY. If someone's interested, they will leave a comment on your post. (Don't worry -- you will automatically receive an email notification when someone leaves a comment on one of your posts.)

Step 5. Browse the PHOTOS link under the COMMUNITY tab at the top of the page. After you join groups, this is another way to find items you're looking for. If you see an item you like, leave a comment that says you’re interested, and ask the owner to take a look at your page to see if you have something they might like to swap for. They'll then, either leave a comment on the photo or your page. (Either way, you'll be notified.)

Once two swappers connect, it's up to them to work out swap details."

I love this idea! Not only am I getting rid of stuff that I don't need or want, but I am getting the things that I need and want in return.

I love it! I posted pics and within minutes I had people interested in items. That is way better than I ever did on eBay or craigslist. I'm glad that others found it useful as well.
