Default Freaky...just found an old crush on facebook

So I got curious and did a search for my high school and graduation year on facebook. I've done this before and found lots of people I knew from high school, but no one who really had any effect on me.

Today I did the same search and found the guy I had a huge crush on for years...he never wanted anything to do with me. He's got his entire profile open for viewing. So I start reading his wall...and here are discussions between him and all these people I went to school with...including my first boyfriend from the 8th grade. So...I'm reading discussions between the guy I loved at the time and the guy I settled for (at the time) because the first guy would have nothing to do with me.

I find it all very freaky.

I found an old boyfriend on FB-he found me-& turns out he's still the same egotistical, pompous jerk I broke up with 20 yrs ago. But I am glad we connected because it made me realize how glad I am for not staying with him & I'd always been curious.

I also got contacted by some guy I danced with a couple times at armory dances & who I guess stepped on my feet alot but says I was so sweet to him anyway. He even sent me messages asking me to go away to Yankton, South Dakota for a weekend with him a couple weeks ago even though I made it clear I'm happily married & that my husband might not want me to go to South Dakota without him. Told him that's not the threesome my husband dreamt of. Thank God I didn't "friend" him on FB so he can't find anything else on me.

Hi,
Facebook is a best platform for getting to know each other and rejoicing old moments of childhood with some school friends. It is a good place to join and share
many things together. It is a social media that connects people to each other.

I love the memories, but that's all they are really.

I was excited to find some old friends and had hoped to reconnect and even hang out with them once in a while. It hasn't happened yet despite being in the same town on the weekends.

I'm also finding people I wasn't really even friends with in high school, but they're sending friend requests. I guess it's more like a game to see how many classmates you can collect on your friend list.

I don't post much on it.

I haven't actually connected with anyone from my high school...in fact, I took my maiden name and my high school off my account soon after I had a friend request from someone I went to school with. It's just not a door that I want to open. She was connected to some of my old boyfriends and such...really not interested in going there.

It's so funny how different people view Facebook. I have reconnected with lots of high school and college friends, even relatives, and am having a ball with it.

I'm with you Ronda, I have really enjoyed connecting with people I used to be friends with in high school but have lost touched with for one reason or another.

I found an old boyfriend too and have chatted with him a couple times online. Neither one of us is interested in anything more than friendship, we are both very happily married, but it was fun to catch up on what he's doing.
