I would suggest you look up some of the titles of the books you want to sell on both sites. On ebay you can look at completed listings and see if anyone has sold them recently and if so, for how much. On Amazon, you can see how many copies of the book are being sold and for how much. It should give you some idea of well you might do.

That is great advice Erica. I second that. I have sold books on amazon. Keep in mind that what counts is your rating which when you first start is automatically 100% (it is also visibly noted that you are a new seller), and your selling price. I have low-balled a few books based on the amount that other sellers were selling theirs. I'm not sure what's the percentage but I can speak for myself when I say that every time I search for something I'm interested in buying, I almost always choose the first or second listing. Because it's ofcourse the cheapest. So just do your research to decide what's best for you. You do not want to short change yourself and you want your time and the amount paid for the value of your books to be worth it.

I like using Half.com. It's owned by Ebay and its very simple to use.

You could also donate them to your library and get a tax-write off. The library would give you a slip and you put the amount there (they dont care). Just another idea to see which one works out more for you.

I had a bookselling business on Amazon for years. I also sold some on Ebay and Half.com. I always got a better price at Amazon.

I agree with the advice above...also if you find you have paperbacks that do not seem to be selling for much, try the site in my signature. You can swap paperbacks for ones you want.

Good luck!
