Most cleaning products actually make your home "dirtier" - with the toxins that are in them. I don't let my children play with toxic chemicals, so why would I let them play on a floor that's just been cleaned with them?
The National Institutes of Health has a portion of their website devoted to telling us, the consumers, exactly how terrible the chemicals in cleaning products are - and what damage they do to our bodies.
There are companies that have cleaning products that are always: safe, powerful, and green. They are usually much more cost effective too!

There is alot of good information in the comments. I honestly think they are more helpful than this list. The simple fact that SC Johnson is listed has me doubting. Seriously, they do do alot with some of the "green" things they do, but one of the greenest companies? Considering the company as a whole and the history of the company, they do far more in the traditional sense than they do in the environmental sense. There are people and companies out there that have been practicing green living since they opened their doors 20 years ago. I read someone mentioned using Melaleuca. Perfect example of a company that has been helping the environment and consumers for 24 years, not because it is the popular thing to do or because it maks money, but because that was their intention from the very start. I use Melaleuca and love love love them.

Anyways, I dinged the PCs to 2nd level following the Dig site, and I'll probably bump them to 3rd once they clear the 1st floor, and then 4th following the fight with Kal. The end fights look pretty nasty, so I want my PCs to have a bit of an edge. And I'm more concerned with the story elements than pure combat anyways,
