LOL! Kalmond! The only thing that is guaranteed to always to happen is that things will always CHANGE! Best to adjust. Honestly they are buying the 45,000.00 members. Not the site. We have control here.

Congrats and wishing you all the best with your future endeavors!

I for one am completely addicted to this site so I feel like many others do and hope that the site will not turn commercial or have any major unflattering changes.

I have truly found so much useful information, feedback, and opportunities here that have been such a blessing to me!

Thank you for all of your hard work!

Best Wishes

I gotta tell you, you guys are all focusing on the impact on the message board. It's a smart move to sell. The rest of the wahm.com website hardly gets any updates. Only the message board stays current with content.

As for selling it to a large corporation, I don't see the connection, since it's been run as a "for moms working at home", I think it's a mistake to sell to a "corporation". Doesn't seem quite right.

Time will tell though.

On a positive note maybe by it being a big company they might have more resources to give us more info and open more doors for us???

If they want to keep us as members then they have to have something to offer us.

I'm glad you're gonna continue to come here and post Cheryl. And I can totally see how having an attractive offer could make your decison to sell easier. And it seems that it is the right time for you personally. It's just such a loss for all of us WAHMs who look to you and this site for so many things. But I can totally understand how anyone in your position would have reasons to make the decision you did. Edited by: Cyber

I saw the announcement a day or so ago..but in/out of town for the last couple of days..no time..anyway...
Congrats Cheryl on moving ahead with something new! I am sure you will be a success. Maybe someday publish your "wahm comics"..or write a syndicated column for the newspapers...

I too am a long time poster... 7 yrs....sometimes more active than others...lol..and have mixed feelings as well..

I am glad to see a women entrepreneur achieve success..especially $$$ wise!..

I am also disappointedit didnt find a new owner that is more closely related to wahm issues..meaning a new woman ownerl........that could still afford the growth costs, etc of a great website..Possibly affiliated with a wahm/women based magazine, internet radio network, ect.

As someone mentioned even another wahm or business woman who wants to become a wahm.

Barb mentioned ...

"Nice thought, but I don't know any out there who could really touch its value. Do you?"

There are a LOT of lurkers out there...who is to say there wouldnt have been someone with the $$$??..or "several" someones for a partnership...evenON this board! There is still a LOT of potential here for this site..and current aspects that can be developed even further ..and yes for great profit..lol..the article base..the WAHMEE'S! I really miss the email group from long ago..lol..there is revenue potential in ALL of that!..without blatant advertising

Thank you Cheryl for starting this site so many years ago...I found this site..mmm.7 yrs ago...I think..lol..via google and another msg board..it's a shame.. several of the "been around for years"wahm type message boards have become very blatant and overpowering with their advertising..amongother things...WAHM.COM was never like that It was nice to see! There are still a couple though like wahm ....and possibly their owners got their "start" here

Good Luckwith whatever you do in the future..Edited by: Margmk

Cheryl, I think it's awesome that you created a site that was marketable. I hope you got a bundle for it! What an example of WAHMhood!

It will, I think, be hard to maintain the WAHM feel without a WAHM in charge. But that's just part of the deal.

Best wishes,

Alison
