I think that salary.com provides a great baseline for salaries, but we have to remember that in many instances companies assign different roles/responsibilities for each title. Two people in different companies may have the same exact title and it may very well mean two different things. One may have way more responsibility than the other. I think that makes it very difficult to truely determine someone's worth based on their title. It's great that the site provides the 25th percentile, median & 75th percentile. I guess we should start worrying if we are receiving pay that is way below the median or even lower than the 25th percentile.

I offer a challenge: for anyone out there that is willing.

Would you be interested in setting that dollar amount out in front of you as an "intention" sort of out of the law of attraction ie the Secret...

only the serious should do it...put that number on a vision board... get it in front of you and begin to visualize your life really earning that magic number.

Just a thought!

I did that for 3 months for 1 million dollars and it did not work for me :< Maybe I did not do it right... like the hungry kids in Africa. Sorry for my sarcasm, but I was angry when it did not work for me and I don't believe that it can be that easy.

I hope I don't offend anyone by being blunt.

I did do it, and it did work. Once was money, once was something else - both times it worked.

To Cyn82 -

I think the problem with your goal setting is that you put the bar too high!

According to "Ask and It Is Given" by Esther & Jerry Hicks (the Real book behind The Secret), when you set a goal it has to be believable to your current self in order to be manifested.

If you set a goal so high that you think it can't be achieved ... then, guess what ... you can't achieve it!

Most of us who don't make multiple 6 figure incomes can't really conceive of making 1 MILLION dollars!

Instead, post a figure that your mind can wrap around ... like twice what your currently yearly salary is ... or $150,000 ... or anything else that seems *doable* to your mind *right now*!

Then, when that is achieved ... stretch your mind further for the next goal!

And, go out and get that book! (and no, I'm not affiliated with them!)
