Another way to save money is to customize your life insurance to the needs of your family, not the commission needs of your agent.
If you agent hasn't done a financial needs analysis to see exactly how much coverage your family needs, taking into consideration you current income levels, family growth, debt level, and income needs of surviving spouse if something were to happen to the breadwinner, you may want to have another agent do an evaluation to see if your current policy meets these needs. Many insurance agents out there are more interested in the amount of money they will make on commission than what the needs of your family really are. For those that are over insured you can really save big dollars monthly, for those that are under insured you may be able to increase your coverage by shopping around while still paying less for more. Another way to get a better deal is to sit down face to face with your agent. Buying online may seem like a great idea but companies have been known to tell you that your getting only what you want, then when you get the policy you find out that it is not what you requested. Then you can have problems trying to get out of the contract. For those of you in ID or WA I offer a free service to evaluate your current insurance plan and make suggestions on how to save money while improving coverage. The best part is this service is FREE. Just give me a call or send a note via this site. |
