I've always been curious about insurance business.
Does anyone know an agent/broker in chapel hill NC area? I would like to start off working for someone who can show me ropes, while I offer my marketing skills. I definitely want to work from home and the thought of doing in-home presentations is not at all appealing to me. WHat areas of insurance do not require face to face time?

Hey there! The company I work at home with does not require any face to face time so it might be what you are looking for. We don't have insurance but rather discount programs. These programs help people who make just enough to not qualify for state aid but at the same time don't make enough to get a decent health insurance policy. We have other areas too like dental, vision, and even ID theft protection etc.
Just request an interview with the link in my siggy and we'll get together to see if this is what you are looking for .

Marley20 I would suggest you talk to a few people. In the beginning many people have reservations about doing home appointments but it's a business and there's some great potential commissions to earn with the license(s), Life/Health and if you so choose the required licenses to market investments products.
You can do a google search for agents in that area or you can check into a company called Liveops. I think they hire licensed agents who work from home. As I suggested talk to a few people to find out what the opportunities are because many people hear licensing and they get scared but don't consider the potential income that is available or the value of having the license(s)... |

Cathy: The letter looks like a scam, to me. Please proceed with caution. [ie] don't send any money or cash any checks the company might send you.
BlondeAmbition: Thanks for the positive, straightforward information. I've been on the fence about obtaining my insurance license for some time now. (-:
