The product line is very similar, and the price point is similar if you factor in whether or not to embroider. The return policy for Thirty One is a little better than Initials, and that made a difference for me. I was with 31 one for a while and Initials Inc for a while so I know both sides of the coin. While I myself liked the products there didn't seem to be much interest for either in this area because customers could get something similar at target or walmart for much cheaper. I guess that is one of the drawbacks in selling these type of products.

People who purchase the items at Target and purchase the items from these companies will quickly find out that the ones at Target are not nearly as high quality. I carry many heavy items in my totes and have never had a problem. My cheap totes from a big box store? The handles fell off after about 5 uses.

I know that, and you know that, but trying to convice customers is another thing.

I have been looking at both 31 and Initials. I love that 31 has university sales but I also want to do online shows. I'm a bit concerned about all the rules and regulations 31 has for advertising and online sales. Do you find that your customers love Initials as much as they did 31? I would also love any feedback. Thanks. jslovings |

I have been debating between becoming a rep for 31 or Initials. I love both. I'm thinking, what the heck....why not sell both? Is that crazy?

It's probably not permitted by the respective company's rep agreements, and would be difficult to do in practice.

One of the main differences between 31 and Initials, inc. is the fact that personalization with Initials is ALWAYS free. Plus, the quality of the bags with Initials is a lot better. BTW, I used to be with 31 in the past and now with Initials, Inc.

I would also look at the Compensation plan, Incentive offered, how often and the monthly Customer Specials. These are the important things to consider when taking on a business. Customers want good deals and rewards for having parties. Consultants wants incentives and rewards for selling. |
