The wetting of the carpet will allow the shampoo to dissolve again, and blotting out, or drawing out with the carpet cleaner should remove any shampoo in there. I suppose how quickly and completely depends on how much is in there.

My all time favourite: I like using vinegar and also paired with baking soda.

I second and third that Mela bathroom cleaners are the best especially Tub and Tile. I dot have to scrub, simply spray and wipe...plus its not toxic so I can stay in the bathroom and clean the sink, etc.

I have asthma, and regular cleaners set me off and make me sick! I use Watkins line of natural home cleaners (I especially love the Tub and Tile - I can spray it and actually STAY in the bathroom to clean it!)

I also am a big fan of VINEGAR and baking soda! I use it in my oven, to unclog drains, and when ever I feel I need a "scrubber."

I used to work for head office for a green company, and I'm friends with a man who works in a factory that manufactures dish soap, and learned SO much stuff about all the chemicals that go into that stuff. Crazy awful toxic stuff.

Default Cleaning Products I like

I also have used Shaklee products gentle and work well. I also use Homeology too. These are also ecofriendly products that have essentials oils in them not a strong smell at all and work great too. These are from Gold Canyon GoldCanyon.com | Home | Scented Candles, Body Care, and Natural Home Cleaning Products ID 242567

Mrs. Murphy's natural cleaning products. They clean better than most chemical cleaners and have a wonderful smell.

I have to agree with several others that baking soda is a great cleaning product. I used to use Bon Ami because there is no scent but baking soda is cheaper and seems to do the job just as well.

I am probably going to take a beating for this one because my faves aren't 'green'. However, I ran a construction cleaning business for several years and went through an abundance of products to land on the ones that worked best on some nasssssty stuff! The products that I found to do the most work for you are Comet, Greased Lightning, Pine Power and good old bleach. BTW, if you're doing construction cleans - sheetrock dust has the same scrubbing-and-not-scratching property as Comet and is usually abundant in a new house. Free too, and that doesn't hurt.

Greased Lightning is definitely my favorite all purpose cleaner and it works great diluted 50/50 with water. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm a simple southern gal, and down here everybody knows you can build a house with duct tape - but you can also clean one with Greased Lightning.

Another thing I learned in the biz - those nasty black scuff marks on your linoleum and/or finished hardwoods will come off instantly if you slip off your shoe and kick the crap out of 'em with your sock! If that doesn't work for you, Comet does. I just prefer the sock method. Makes me feel like I'm kicking the ding-dong who left the scuff mark on my floor in the first place.

Default Freshness!

I guess it's not a "cleaning product" but I love Febreeze! Anything that smells like or comes close to "Clean Linen"--I'm a huge fan of! Especially, the carpet cleaner. Nothing like the smell of fresh laundry everywhere (especially when your trying to get rid of dirty diaper smells, lol).

Did you ever think about using safer products? Everything you listed has a ton of chemicals that are harmful to you and your home. There are much more effective cheaper products out there, that don't effect your health and indoor air quality.
