This is the Help Get Jay Home Fund. The funds will be used to help bring Jay Van Bockel from Florida to Minnesota by air ambulance.

My nephew Jay Van Bockel age 19 was in a serious auto accident on Wednesday, November 23rd where he was air lifted to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland, Florida.

He had brain bleed, with a little bruising on his brain, bruised lungs, a torn diaphragm, a broken left clavicle, sprained ankles and was in a coma in critical but stable condition. After 4 weeks of being in a coma he was diagnosed as persistent vegetable state.

His mother Jeanne Van Bockel and his sister Britni
Van Bockel both live here in Minnesota and have been in Florida since Jay's accident. They are running out of resources and need to come home.

The family is being asked to get him moved from Lakeland Hospital. The hospital he is in does not specialize in brain trauma. The best place found who would take him is Bethesda Hospital in Minnesota.

Bethesda Hospital specializes with Brain Trauma Injuries and they have accepted Jay. Jay needs to come to Minnesota by air ambulance and his insurance does not cover this expense.
