Don't think twice. Buy it NOW! The best part about the Wii is the interaction between the game and the kids. Also, parents complaining about not having any physical activity while playing games on the Wii have no reason to complain now. It's a perfect blend of realistic gaming and fitness! What more could you ask for?

I have them all, the wii, the xbox 360, and the ps3. I like them all in different ways. One good thing about the wii is you will get the most exercise with it as you do have to do at least a little bit of movement with most of the games!

And they also have wii fit for anyone that wants to workout and play video games at the same time.

But they definitely are not wasting their money, it's a good system. It's probably the most family oriented system out there.

Default Wii

I have 4 kids and they all love Wii. Some of our favorites are Mario Cart, Mario Party 8, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, FIFA Soccer, Cooking Mama, Wii Fit.

Word of caution. The discs get messed up easily with kids. I hate it when I go into the playroom and find the discs laying around the room. Maybe your kids are better than mine but mine have to be watched closely so they don't ruin it.

It's great for kids, but the games are fairly poor in overall quality and playability. There are some exceptions: Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, etc.
