Wow! When I agreed to do an energy drink comparison I had no idea what I was getting myself into. So, I decided to publish OBJECTIVE, FROM THE COMPANY WEBSITE information about MonaVie's energy drinks and ask other distributors to do the same. Let's use this thread to inform so please no hype and bashing other products. Thanks and let's see what we get!

MonaVie puts out a regular and a light version of its EMV product. Price per can ranges from $2.16 to $2.26 a can depending on volume ordered.

MonaVie EMV provides natural energy from 80% juice, guarana, green tea, yerba mate (for a quick boost), and Palatinose™ for longer lasting energy. MonaVie EMV is free of sugar additives such as high fructose corn syrup, glucose, and sucrose. It does not contain artificial colours, flavours, or sweeteners and, best of all, it is preservative-free.

Does MonaVie EMV contain caffeine? Yes, one serving of MonaVie EMV contains 80 mg of all-natural caffeine from guarana, green tea, and yerba mate.

MonaVie EMV carbohydrates come from 80% fruit juice content and Palatinose™.

What is the ORAC (antioxidant capacity) value of MonaVie EMV?
MonaVie EMV has an ORAC value that is approximately half the level in the MonaVie juices (Essential, Active, and Pulse).

Is energy drink really good for you? I was in the food and beverage business in the past and I am always reluctant to take energy drink. The first thing that comes to people's mind when you mention energy drink is Red Bull and Monster drink. As a matter of fact, if you google energy drink, you will see mixed reviews. FYI- I am not bashing any company!!!

That is a really good question. Energy drinks have been in the news recently because of the health dangers of overindulging and/or mixing them with alcohol. The worst offenders seem to be the ones with added caffeine.

I cannot speak for other energy drinks but MonaVie gets its energy boost strictly from the natural ingredients in the products. The regular formula provides natural energy from 80% juice, guarana, green tea, yerba mate (for a quick boost), and Palatinose™ for longer lasting energy.

In a review of over 30 energy drinks currently available, including the top selling energy drinks, 97% contained at least one of the above additives. Many of the products reviewed contained several of these ingredients.
