Default Any Former WFL Workers Now Ad Raters?

I am a former WFL Quality Rater and have been trying to reapply to work as an Ads Rater but it seems like I have sent my resume at least 15 times and still no response. Has anyone who previously worked as a Quality Rater been recently hired as an Ads Rater? I know Google has advertised the position on their site for quite a long time and they seem like they actually want to hire people, but no one I know, including myself, has heard anything back. You'd think they would want to hire people that have already worked for WFL/Google and know the process, but maybe not.

Hi there! As you know, I'm a former QR and I'm still doing the Ads rating.. I'm coming upon my last week next week. It's been a great year!

I also know of one other person recently hired as an Ads Rater who was previously a QR. She was hired within the last month or so. I'm not sure how many times she tried.

Hey Higgy,
Thank you for the information and it sounds like at least they are still hiring, so that is good news at least. I guess I'll just keep trying every other week or so; don't want to bombard them or anything but I really, really would love to work for WFL/Google again. I'll post here if I hear anything back

Hey Pixi,
Yeah, that's my strategy too! I figure that after the 100th time they see my resume, they might just respond, who knows I agree, WFL was a great gig and I really enjoyed my time with them. Too bad they limit the amount of years you can work for them, but if I can get in one more good year, I would be a happy camper. Please let us know if you get a response too; good luck!

Stumbled across this topic. Here is some inside info for you all. I am actually a recruiter with another another company that supports the WFL/Google account. This is a vendor neutral account, meaning that there are several staffing services that staff for Google, through WFL.

Sooooooo that being said....

If they won't call you back to rehire you at Google for a position you already have done more than likely you are not rehireable.

Also if you send you resume 100 times thinking someone will have to look at it, you are dead wrong. All you are going to do is have your named passed around the by the recruiters to not call you. If they are not insterested in you for a particular role and you keep sending the resume with no response, be prepared to never be called....blacklisted.

Actually, this is not necessarily true. There are a lot of people here who worked as Quality Raters through WFL and who sent their resume many times before receiving a response. Now maybe not 100 times but at least 4-5 or even more. I myself sent mine probably about 5 times back in 2007 until I was contacted to test for the position in December of 2007. With the current company I work for now, LF, I sent my resume at least 15 times or more before being contacted by them so your theory is not totally correct.

Not true in my case. I worked with Google twice (2 years total). The first time, I only sent my resume once. The 2nd time (after a 90 day break), I sent it 4 or 5 times before being contacted. I sent it every week or so for a little over a month before hearing back.
So, if there has been a policy change, it had to have been since January 2009.

Good luck to everyone who applies!

OMG thats a new one. I applied maybe 10 times to LF b/4 they hired me as a QR. I lost track how many times I applied to WFL for the QR job...lots.... b/4 they hired me. This must be some new policy they are doing. But, the ADS Rater would be a new type of job anyway, would'nt it? I'm going to keep trying anyway--lol!
