jmkosmo...maybe wait a bit and retry...Apply with new email address...I haven't been hired...but wasn't even getting an invite before...I reapplied with different email and redid my resume to highlight college and got an invite with a week or so...Unfortunately my computer died and I flew through the second test I onlly had access to other's computers...Don't give up...I think I may try again....

I've actually been wondering the same thing, jmkosmo. I applied to all three (LF and WFL over a month ago), and am still waiting to hear anything. I've read in other threads that some people have been waiting months; I know the wait time varies a whole lot, but I was also curious whether or not anyone had gotten accepted in 2010. Good luck!

For those wondering, I was. I'm a former WFL'er whose 1 year assignment ended mid November. I waited until after the holidays, applied on Jan. 4 to LF, heard back on the 5th and after all the testing, started Monday (18th). It seems I am one of the few though?? Someone mentioned before that maybe they have restrictions on how many they can hire in certain states/time zones? I am eastern, so maybe that made a difference? I don't know, hang in there though.

Dinomom- is there a reason you're not waiting the time period out? I ask because I'm about hit my year and I'm trying to figure out if I should wait it out or try my luck at LB/LF..

Default Re: Why I chose LF over waiting for WFL

I did it for a variety of reasons. First, I wanted to start earning money again sooner than February (the earliest I could re-apply). Second, the job I had with WFL was QR and that position is no longer available (just Ad Rater) so other than the fact that I worked for them before, there is no reason for them to choose me over someone else when neither of us has experience in the Ad Rater position. In other words, no guarantee of employment and then all that time I waited and could have been earning money would be lost. Third, you can only work for WFL (Google) for a max of 2-one year terms and then you're done. I know these companies are hiring now and don't want to risk them not hiring in another year (this position could be permanent, so them not hiring in the future is a possibility, I think). This brings me to my fourth point, which is that this position can be somewhat permanent (LF constantly renewing your contract). I know there have been horror stories of people being let go from LF without explanation, but that was also true of WFL, so it's a risk either way (believe me though, if LF decides to terminate me at some point I will definitely be applying at WFL again). Overall, one of my big issues was the limit of 12 months with WFL. I need a job for a minimum of 18 months while my husband completes his residency and then, hopefully, employment will be more of an option than a necessity. It just didn't make sense for me to work for WFL for a year and then a few months with LF when I could just stay with one company (hopefully) the whole time.

I know this is long, but I hope it was helpful and answered your question.

What do I need to apply for LF? I just reapplied for LB and WFL. I might as well apply for LF too. It would be nice to get something from March to March until my car payment is finished.
