I just saw on another website that WFL is not hiring Internet Judge consultants. The position is now a contractor position and is full-time (which I hear that Leapforce is as well). The pay is also MUCH less than what was being paid to the temp employees. Looks like the days of having the Rater position as a good paying part-time job are over.

Oops I meant to saw "now hiring" not "not hiring."

I thought that the INternet Judge position was through Lionbridge? They contacted me a few weeks ago regarding testing for Internet Judge, but don't think WFL ever advertised for that particular position. Also, do you have a link for where you read that information?

Hmm, that is interesting. And yes, the pay is definitely down from what is listed for QA. Are you going to apply for it?

Here is the link, and it says work from home (Nebraska). I wonder why WFL would be posting jobs on Craigslist.

I can't apply for it because I already have a FT job. That's why I loved the way it was with the temp position. I could put in 20 hrs a week whenever I had time. My wife couldn't work because she was ill, so this was a great way to make extra money. But it seems like they are now wanting full time work and pushing the wages to a minimum.

This Search Quality Judge position also only lets you work between 7am-7pm, which would kind of suck, along with the pay reduction, it doesn't sound like a very good deal anyway. Maybe you can reapply again for the Ads QR position or even just the general QA position for your second year. You might have to do it like when a lot of people first applied with Google and send your resume a couple of times. I know I had to send mine twice before I got a response from them.

I've tried sending in my resume - I think four times now...lol. They either tell me that all their positions are full or that they aren't hiring for any positions right now. I guess I will just keep checking the Google jobs website and hopefully someday something will pop up. Thanks for the advice, though!

$10/hr is absurd for a job that wants a college degree. I made more than that out of the gate in 1994 after I got my BA. Thank goodness I have a real full time job.

I've already given up and am interviewing for PT brick and mortar jobs. One of them is a manual labor job that requires a GED and basic handyman skills for $19/hr. I've found that the competition for blue collar work is a lot less than white collar. Go figure.
