Sorry, it is not apples to apples. You said so yourself, wahjs didn't even exist like they do now and the pay structure (unfair as it is) is very different from a b&m job. And, there are way too many people who want/need wah for this to change much. Yes, $10/hr for a college educated person sucks but that's what the market pays. I'm sure the lesser pay is the cost for the "privilege" of being home (and I do say that tongue in cheek).

I'm resurrecting this thread to ask a question and make some commentsabout WFL.

First of all, have they stopped providing temps for google? I just got notice that my contract was terminated and I see a thread where others have as well.

Plus, I haven't been out to these boards in MONTHS and, when I look at the topmost topics, they all seem to be about LF and LB with very little WFL. I'm just curious.

I happened to find this thread where someone mentioned WFL was hiring (back in March) for a full-time job that sounded very similar to the Google Rater position... at $10/hour.

I'm not sure if I'm interested in doing that job. To be honest, I'm a little relieved that Google is over. I'm going to miss the money but I see it as an opportunity to focus on other stuff. Doing that job for $450/week was ok, if a littletedious.Doing it for $400/week (and working more hours at that) doesn't seem so great. Yes, it's better than nothing but I know there are WAHJ out there that pay more than $10/hr... for instance, writing. So, taking a pay cut to do the same job (especially when you work more hours and still make less pay) just seems wrong.

I know that, ultimately, you gotta do what you gotta do but it seems more like the PTB are taking advantage of the conditions of the market and the work force.

Possibly not Google, but WFL related, (whichever the client is):

Bumping to know whether or not if anyone has been hired for the $10/hr job through WFL in the Craigslist ad. Did anyone even apply?

I know about the pay debate, but perhaps that is an option since WFL peopleseem to have difficulty getting hired through LF and LB.

Anyone doing this? Any former WFL's doing this?

I applied. Haven't hear a thing about the Craig's List one or the Ad Rater.
