My fellow former Google raters, you might not want to miss out on this bona fide job, if you don't mind making less money.

It was such a hard decision to make . . . $0.00 per hour vs. $10.00 per hour and the opportunity to WORK.
So this WFL Craigslist ad, the one for $10 is the Google rater job and not another company, right? You would think when WFL lets us go after our temp terms end, they would just ask us if we wanted to renew the contract with those restrictions and keep working. We are already trained and they have all our information. Maybe the IC status must not have the two year rule, then.

Are we sure WFL hires previous temp employees?

I'm confused with all the different companies now. I am almost at my two year end, and I am not sure what options are left for us after that.If Leapforce won't hire former WFL people, how do we know WFL will hire us back after two years?

Actually, I think it's more like 3 months or so. I remember seeing that ad up around the beginning of the year, though it is still difficult for potential hires to know exactly what Google is looking for.

Boy, guess I'm out of the loop! Do you guys think I should try? Like lovethiscandle said - do they hire former WFL people? Anyone know?

I assumed that from what Crispe said about former Google raters should apply to the ad. I am assuming that they are a former rater and they are working for that job? I may have misunderstood the post, though.

There is a regular poster on here who was a QR, took her 3 month break, then was rehired, but then received an email before she started saying that they withdrew the offer for the 2nd year. She then she asked the "powers that be" about the Ads Rater position and was hired in that capacity for Year 2.

Also, I don't believe you can work for Google and LForce or LB at the same time, it has to be one or the other.

I saw one of your posts on the Leapforce thread explaining the payment method in detail, so I assumed you were one of the former WFL raters that got lucky and was hired by Leapforce. Not the case? All these different job titles/companies/contracts etc. for the same job is getting crazy!

No, I didn't say it was with Google. I'm sorry I didn't explain that very well. I just didn't want anyone to miss out on this opportunity. Since WFL didn't provide the company name in the postI didn't think I should either.

I just wanted to make sure ya'll knew it wasn't a scam and if you wanted to take advantage of the post you could do it without worry.Edited by: chrispe

Nope, I didn't apply for the Leapforce job because of the WFL thing. DH was hired on with them though.

The opportunityto workhas some value.

But for an experienced rater on hiatus, the prospect of a 33 percent pay cut (and since it's an IC position, the effective wage is even less) is disappointing and not particularly appealing.

I see, that makes sense now. You will have to keep us posted. I'm curious to know if Leapforce workers will be able to continually renew their 6 month contracts. If they can, then they have the better deal in the long run (even though the pay isn't as much). I'd rather work indefinitely for $13.50 an hour than have the 2 year limit at $15.00 an hour. I guess there are pros and cons, however, with the differences in tasks per hour required and their IC status instead of employee status.
