Brent, I used to fast lunch to lunch (24 hour ESE-style fasts), and when I was actively trying to lose weight, I did it twice a week - it meant I could add calories to the rest of my weekly meals and make them decent while still keeping an average of 1200 calories per day.
I work out at night, so I wasn't able to optimize the strategy he is laying out. However, if you like a big breakfast and can work out in the morning like most people prefer to do, you can do your fast this way, which is actually pretty awesome: Day 1: Work out, follow workout with breakfast, fast the rest of the day, consuming only water/tea Day 2: Work out when you wake up, follow workout with breakfast, eat normally the rest of the day. I do my fasts dinner to dinner now, and when I work out before I eat, it's been great.

I heard about eating raw foods more than cooked. Some of the family dropped weight so fast by eating raw vegetables.
