Girl, do you ever slow down?!?!?

I take Sunday off from my regular workouts, but did mow the lawn and managed to sweat off a few ounces. LOL

In our wondrous city, they have moved the fireworks display to the 3rd of July (weirdos). But it should be a great night for it, with the hot weather today and no rain forecast. Having some family and friends over to watch from our place since we live by the lake. Hubby has to work . First year he's missed in a long time.

Amy,

I used to do Turbo Jam and had a blast with Chalene (pump it, pump it). I saw the infomercial for Turbo Fire and was considering purchasing it. I will be doing Pilates Plus workout at a private studio. Pilates Plus is a turbo version of a traditional pilates workout on a reformer (40 minutes, full body workout).

Yay! I went to the gym today and did 50 mins of cardio and then did strength training on my legs, some push-ups and situps! It felt good to finally get there, summer has been so busy! BTW, even people with a "normal weight" still need to take care of their cardiovascular system. I think it is too often a misconception that just because someone is skinny, they are healthy. Genetics play a big role in why I am thin, it is my job then to take care of my body! So whether you are considered underweight, normal, overweight or obese, you still need to get your heartrate pumping everyday!

Today I NEED to Run my 4 miles...not feeling up to it though...hopefully I can kick my butt in gear!! Tomorrow is my Body Sculpting class...I try to get there early to do 30 min. of cardio first, then my high intensity class...it is definitely what is working for me at the moment!

I don't know how you work out at home Amy with kids ( I used too b4 kids!)-I only have after 9pm when the kids go to sleep, and have no energy to jump around the living room then, lol

And per the pp...working out and exercise is not just about losing weight...it HELPS those wanting to lose weight to do so, but it is not and should not be the main focus. The point of working out is to be healthy or get healthy...to be strong and vibrant and energetic. Being thin is definitely not being in shape...and there are some 'hefty' people who are in great shape..every body type is different, but working out should have a focus to get strong and healthy FIRST, then weight loss or gain or whatever your goals are second
This really pertains to alot struggling with weight loss...I think alot of times people look at working out as a chore that they hate, and they quite when they don't see weight loss results..if we change our mind about it and make it fun and make being HEALTHY the primary focus...everything falls into place
