Default Ways to lose weight

this is a very short suggestion thread.

to lose weight

eat less but eat well.

work more, machines were supposed to make out life easier, they were to help us do our work, no do our work ( if you dont understand, read it again)

no point going hungry, you can lose weight fast by going hungry, but your body will go in starvation mode, and you will gain back all that you have lose and then some more.
it's not worth it.

eat fibre foods, they dont' get digested easily, so stomach tends to feel full for a much longer time.

eat less, eat often, instead of eating 2-3 times a day, eat 4-5 times a day, but eat less.

Those are some great tips to follow. However, it really doesn't matter how often you eat, it all depends on the number of calories consumed each day as far as weight loss goes. Some days I eat 3 large meals, some days I'll eat 4 to 6 smaller ones. What's important is to stay within a good caloric range for your own personal needs.

A great point about not eating too. When the body goes into starvation mode, metabolism slows way down because the body is feeling "starved" and will begin holding onto everything, rather than burning it.

Default Diet

Most experts recommend you eat every 3 to 4 hours and smaller portions. Calories are important too. Just because something is "healthy" doesn't mean you can eat a lot of it. Both of these combined with exercise is the best way to lost weight.

You are a lucky individual if you can lose weight by eating 3 regular meals a day!

I enjoy 5-6 small meals a day...sometimes I enjoy 3 regular meals...all depends on what my body needs at the moment.I have been upping my cardio lately and have discovered I do best at the higher end of daily calorie needs.I eat alot of fruits/veggies,whole grains etc.

I would add drinking more water and exercising on regular basis as ways to lose weight also. Exercise doesn't necessarily have to mean going to the gym, it could involve walking, swimming, biking or playing tennis or golf. Just do something that you enjoy doing and that is considered a physical activity.

For people trying to lose weight by cutting calories, food suddenly becomes the enemy instead of a means to genuine health. Hunger pangs become a sign of success instead of a sign the body is craving nourishment. This kind of twisted reality - a world where we desire starvation to maintain a healthy weight - is contributing to modern disease and misery.

The only way weight can be lost is by cutting calories. Either by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both. It doesn't mean people have to starve themselves. I disagree with the really low calorie "diets" but caloric intake does need to be taken in to consideration when a person desires a loss of weight.
