Hi, I'm currently on the Nutrisystem diet and I love it. The food is good (it's just really portion controlled) .I've been on it before when I first had my kids. I've lost 5 lbs. (probably a lot of it water weight!) in the first 1.5 weeks! Anyway if you are interested in trying it, let me know I can refer you to their Pay It forward Program that will get you $15 off your order. Also I know a way to get another 8% off the oder on top of that. I didn't know about the pay it forward $15 coupon when I signed up, sure would've helped! Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. Anna |

I am also doing Nutri System, but not so strict. I eat their food for breakfast & lunch, but not dinner (except maybe 1 to 2 times per week). I lost 3 lbs the 1st week and 1 lb the 2nd week. I only decided to try it to help jump start my weight loss. I am also working out 5 days a week, one hour a day. I get on my treadmill for 35 minutes and do my BowFlex for 25-30 minutes a day. Since I only have about 15 - 20 lbs to lose, I thought I would give it a try. The food is quite good. Only a few items that I totally hated, so I wont order those again. Overall the food is good, fills you up, and is quite simple.

There's a website you can go to get recipes for the Nutrisystem entree's that may make them better. For instance I really didn't like the pancakes, but there was a recipe for lemon cream cheese crepes made with the pancake mix that is soooooo delicious. I made it for breakfast and my husband has been asking for it for breakfast now. I've heard the muffins are pretty dry so I'm going to try the recipe that turns them into a cobbler! Thanks! It is mainly the eggs I couldn't stand and I happen to buy 16 of them.
I plan on putting some chopped veggies in them to see if that helps. lol Everything else I really like.

I can't remember who makes a "low calorie" sausage link - it's around 40 cals/link - but maybe you can make an omlette with link in it?

This morning my hubby decided to try the eggs himself. He loves powdered type stuff. I warned him about them being awful, but he didn't listen. lol He gave them to the dogs they were so gross. What I did is ordered a la carte enough breakfasts to last me until my next order is shipped....which I edited and deleted all the eggs off. Last night for dinner I had the Southwest Chicken and it was really good. Very filling too. I couldn't even finish it. So far what is everyone's favorite breakfast, lunch & dinner? I love the granola cereal, pasta & beef, and Lasagna for my three meals. Oh let's not forget the chocolate cake for dessert. Wow our tastes are so different. I just had the southwest chicken and almost couldn't finish it because I didn't like the taste. I also couldn't eat the chocolate cake (too dry)! I dolove the chiicken pasta primavera and the tacos (make them into a salad)for dinner. Also the tender beef with vegetables is quite tasty. I love the meatballs with tomato sauce for lunch. I use them with a small whole grain roll, a slice of provolone cheese and make a mini meatball sub that is outstanding! Also the spicy oriental noodles are great. I love the pancake mixes made into lemon cream cheese crepes for bfst. Can you tell I'm REALLY into this?lol. I love how I'm beginning to feel and look. 1200 calaries isn't so hard on this diet. |

Well, I wouldn't totally rave about the cake, but it is better than no chocolate and healthier than a regular brownie. It is just big enough to crave my sweet tooth if I get one. I haven't tried the spcy oriental noodles yet, but they are on my next auto ship order. I have only tried a couple of dinners because I cook 5 nights a week for my family, healthy meals, so I have a ton sitting here waiting for me. I am pretty into it, but just can't do it for every meal of the day. Are you working out at all? I work out 1 hour a day 5 days a week. Only about 15 - 20 lbs to go until I am happy. If I went by what my doctor said my ideal weight is, I only have 9 lbs...but that isn't what will make me happy.
