Part time childcare pricing
I charge between $5-10 per child, and get a lot of work from friends and family, who get my "discount rate" of $5. I feel like that's reasonable.. it's not even minimum wage, and they're probably paying more for their morning coffee than they are for an hour of care for their child with a well referenced, experienced provider. I recently got a lot of flack from friends who felt $5 an hour was way too much and they resented paying me. I thought this was rediculous. Nannies/providers generally charge $5 an hour around here.
What do you charge in your area?

They shouldnt be giving you problems, I charge 20 a day per child, if they have problems that week ill give them some discount.but right now i just have one kid other than my 2
|

The lady who watched my 1st daughter when she was younger charged me $20 a day. That would be about 8 hours or more for 5 days a week. She also provided homemade meals.

I charge $7/hour plus $3/hour extra per extra kiddo. OR $20-25/day for long-term/regular.
