Default The Heat is On! Election Year Thoughts...

Hello,
Just stopping by to see who is around these days.
So...anybody been watching the debates?
Does a particular candidate stand out to you? If so, what do you like about him?
Are you happy with the job Obama has done and plan to support him this time around?

Me...never was an Obama fan, and now I would love to see him gone. I thought I was going to like Cain, and then he was out. Being from TX, I had hopes for Perry...that didn't happen. I despise Mitt Romney, and will not vote for him, even if he is the Republican candidate. Ron Paul...tried once again to like him, and I just don't. So...it pretty much leaves Newt and Santorum...blah to both, even though I think Newt is an excellent debater and would rip Obama to shreds .

So...how do the candidates stand out to you? I really just don't know at this point.

I'm already tired of the "political season." This is going to be a very long year! How I wish Presidential Candidates would just tell us what they hope to accomplish. They shouldn't say they will do anything in particular, because if Congress doesn't back them, it likely will not happen!

And, I wish they would stop bashing one another! They all claim faithfulness to "whatever" religion, but which religion says it's OK to say terrible things about others and/or tell lies?

My comments apply to ALL parties, because I believe they are equally bad.

I have strong feelings about politics & "my" party, but I won't get into debates about whether "my" party is better than someone else's party. I'll never convince anyone that my opinion is a fact, and they won't convince me that theirs opinion is a fact. Even statistics that everyone throws out are ridiculous. Each party comes up with different stats for the same topic (budget, debt, number of jobs created, etc.). So, I keep my "party" opinions to myself.

I think the above opinions are pretty much how most of the country feels. Just sick and tired of "politics" in general. There is no one to get excited about and nothing to feel hopeful about. No matter who gets in Dem or Rep, they are just a puppet and the same old same old will continue to happen. If I was forced to vote between Obama and Romney (cuz he'll probably be the nominee) I would go with Romney, I guess so I could have a new face to look at and blame for a few years. Pretty sad.

Hey Kelly! I've been saying I won't vote for Romney...but I hadn't thought about having a new face to be upset at for the next 4. lol I may reconsider! Hope all is well

Me...I never voted by party. Now...I wouldn't vote anything republican. Why? Because I am a female and there is no way in heck that I would support one thing republican. I am a mother as well and there is no way I would support one thing republican. Think about me taking your husband's or any male's job away because I can be paid less. Do you really think that company is going to pay you a good salary if I can do the same job for less. Any hey, neither of us will have adequate healthcare. After all, I am a second class citizen and you won't have a job. Oh wait, you think I will be barefoot and pregnant and if not, you will make sure when I am raped it wasn't forceful to protect yourself, but at least I will be pregnant and no longer able to work. Only there will be another low-paid female to take my place. Or maybe I will become so sick from the poison water and with no health care or loop holes so that I may not be able to afford any type of healthcare, I will whither and go away along with my children who drink the same water as me and breathe the same air as me. I could go on, but if you listen to what is happening in our country than you already know and are informed. Our president has more class and integrity than any of the republican wannabes.

Perhaps there might be some interest if political groups took a different approach to campaigning such as highlighting the achievements instead of bashing each other all of the time. Get with the program, the general public find it disinteresting, repetitive and it does not create interest! Who are the geniuses running these campaigns????
