Thumbs down Vodka soaked tampon used by kids to get drunk

Parents need to be aware that teenagers are always looking for new ways to get drunk. The latest craze is to soak tampons in vodka. Girls aren’t the only ones doing this. Boys are participating in this dangerous game only they insert them rectally.

Teenagers are ending up in the hospital with severe alcohol poisoning. By inserting the tampon, the body absorbs the alcohol directly into the blood stream. At least when drinking the alcohol, once it hits the stomach, the stomach acid helps breakdown the alcohol.

When teenagers drink, the more they consume the more sensitive the gag reflex becomes. Throwing up is a body’s way of expelling alcohol as a means of preventing alcohol poisoning. By utilizing a tampon, the kids are bypassing the one way the body can protect itself.

One super tampon holds a shot of Vodka. One shot may not seem like a lot. However, it is extremely potent when it’s being absorbed directly into the blood.

to quiet the practically teens who are so upset by this post i searched of news articles and i had several to chose from dont believe me google it yourself

wow.....i had to read this post twice. just when i thought the last craze was the worst, here comes one that surpasses it.
i was speaking about this to my son{age 15} and he said he knew about it, as kids were talking about it in school. wow.... i asked him if he knew anyone who does this, and he said he heard of a few people that do, but doesn't know them personally {hopefully a good sign}
wow....

That's crazy and gross. I wonder who comes up with these ideas. Back in my day kids would just get the tampons wet and throw them up on the cieling, lol..

I've never heard of this but can't say I'm all that surprised sadly. Kids are sniffing 'bath salts' and getting sick. I guess nothing is off limits. It's scary. I have two teens and I worry a lot..

These are the times when I am so glad my daughter is 22.

I've done everything, at least I thought I did. My goodness that is just seriously a health risk. I wonder why we are just hearing this on here. I listen to the news every morning before work and haven't heard this one at all. Very scary. The next thing we here will be even worse than this one!
