QUOTE by Adbullock "Even what is being proposed isn't FREE healthcare for all. What it is is required health insurance. Much like required auto insurance. There will be fees and penalties associated with not getting the insurance. Low income families will of course be subsidized so that they aren't paying for it but the middle class, those people who are screaming in support of this are not going to get free health coverage. They are simply going to lose the option not to buy health insurance."

For the life of me, this is what is so disturbing. Excellent point that this will be required like auto insurance, except we won't have the option of looking for the best rate. We will be stuck with the rate they give us, and no option if we can't afford it. There is even talk that whatever you owe will be taken in bank draft form, which allows the government right into your bank account.

Watching these town hall meetings is a nightmare. I'm beginning to wonder if Obama is actually wanting civil war. The people are speaking and our representatives have no intention of listening, but instead are being encouraged to "punch back twice as hard'. *sigh*

I think I can see where this is going. Those who refuse this because the government thinks they can just come into our banks accounts are going to be pulling their money outta there so fast, the governments heads will spin. That is not a good thing.

I am willing to bet this bill will pass. This is a different time than the Bill Clinton health care reform.
I wonder what you will say if you find that your private health care didn't get taken away. Or that seniors were not advised to end their life early. You will do what you always do when you find that you are wrong. Nothing.
Every time some one proves that you are wrong the thread just waste away to the next page never to heard from again. No apologies, no one says oops, I was wrong. You just stop posting in that folder.
I won't let this folder stay buried for too long. When this bill passes and has had some time in the real world I will bring it up again. I wonder what excuse you will have then.

As far as not understanding the bill, it is clear that some of you don't either. At least I understand the part that I am discussing. Some of you are way off the mark on it.
Sorry for those of you who have gotten obsessed with Maddow and Acorn. You should see some one for that. Really!

Concerning Obama, the things we said that would take place during his administration are not only happening, but at a rate much faster than anticipated. I don't think those with concerns about this socialized healthcare bill are way off the mark. I think when we are a full blown communist country some will still be singing "the land of the free".

I am talking about your take on the end of life, private health care being taken away.
I see they have not taken your guns away.

Which brings me back to your answer to my specific questions..."Congress has private health-care....obviously".

At what point do you take your own advice and say, "oops I was wrong?"

Trust me, you are more than welcome to revisit this folder (if....which is doubtful) the bill passes. I'll be the first to admit I am wrong if everything goes as wonderful as you anticipate.

If this bill passes with 52% of the public against it then America will be at an end.

As for people saying oops, where is your oops I was wrong? I have proven your precious Maddow is a liar and that you are wrong about who is running the campaign against this bill, haven't heard an oops yet.

You haven't proved any such thing. The only person that has even come close to that is Kamie.

Give him time he wants to see if he can win on health care first. He wins this and he has a great stand to start dismantling the rest of the Constitution. Sadly we would love to come out and say all our suspicions were wrong and everything is hunky dory. There is no great pleasure in being right about Obama. It would have been highly satisfying to be wrong.
