I have seen several post for TIny Details. Has anyone tried doing the cards for them? I just do not see how it could be that difficult to do. I was thinking of ordering it but was not sure. Any information would be great!!

I sent for the Euro money. It arrived and I completed a sample of which I thought was perfect. They never sent it back to me. I sent them an email to inquire of it. Their response was that they sent back my sample on July 8th and that some of the bills were crooked and that was all they said. Here it is August 1 and I have yet to see a thing from them. I say its a scam.

Hello Treetz,

I just want to share with you my experience with Tiny Details as it was , unfortunatly , not a good one. I had ordered the tea boxs to do , and they ended up sending me a completely different project, saying that they did not need the ones I wanted to do at the time. I got sent a bunch of tiny calenders where you had to cut out this tiny little hole perfectly and all these tiny pages of the calender. After attempting to do this with a very sharp exacto knife and realizing that I was NEVER going to be able to do it up to the standards they were looking for I decided to return the kit before the time was up for a refund( the sample that they sent as an example was a calender that did not have a tiny hole that needed to be cut out of course!!) I packaged everything up and sent it back within the time limit for a refund , AND never recieved a refund or another word from them. I personally would not trust them!

I've already replyed to "Sarahjanah" on the message board about Tiny Details. I just ordered a kit and will keep you all up dated there.

About the tiny holes...All your local craft stores sell hole punchers in just about any size you need for a couple of bucks. Oh well, better luck next time.

Dear shkpnk,

I sincerely wish you the best of luck with your project. Here's a rundown of my experiences with Tiny Details.

I am currently working on a kit from a real legitimate home assembly company called New England Crafters. I will post my experiences with them in the near future.

I tried several kits from them last year, it is 99.999% IMPOSSIBLE to do any of these perfectly, and I am sure they know this. I first tried their book project, twice, as careful as i was the pages kept coming out uneven and the books wouldn't stay closed. I sent a sample to them, but they claim they never got it. Admittedly I sent it to the attention of one of their staff and not labelled "Sample", still they should have gotten it. After that fiasco I tried their dairy set (milk carton, cream cheese and one other box which i forgot), again it was damn near impossible to make these at all, so I returned it for one last try, the Game Board. It took me two weeks to make it, and again they rejected it. Not surprisingly, as one of the items was a heaxagonal marker which measured 1/8" and had to be cut out of the paper sheet, and once again was impossible to get perfect. They also said I had stapled the bag closed wrong, though by the time I got to stapling the bags was probably too frustrated to read the instructions. I demanded my refund in full (they require a $50 "deposit" and if you decide not to complete the project you only get half your deposit back) or I would report them to consumer affairs. They responded by saying they did not like to be blackmailed and I only sent them junk. I wrote back telling them i did not like to be ripped off and they know damn well it's impossible to make these things perfectly. I never did get my refund, and with all the fees for replacing projects and postage I must have lost about $100 on this "money-making" scheme.

And I never did contact any consumer department or BBB, too busy trying to make back the lost money elsewhere.
