Hi Everyone,

New England Crafters is great! I currently do assembly work for them. I have always been paid for my work. I won't say it is easy to pass inspection because it does take a lot of patience and practice. The people there are super nice. I can answer questions too if you like.

You're welcome moonmaiden. I should also add that even if your work does pass inspection, each project will take as long as several weeks to finish, so count on earning about $1/hour, which doesn't come close to minmum wage! So by all means avoid this company!

Nice hearing from you Chers. I did get a lot of good support from NEC, although for some reason the owner told me the toe ring project is the easiest, which it definitely was not. After several attempts I gave up and exchanged it for the tropical birdhouse. I got it a couple weeks ago and will try to complete it this weekend, it does look easier. I'll post my experiences here.

I reported the Tiny Details to a consumer sentinal type website. I wish they woud should it down because I see people continuing to waste money on them.

It is clear that they are crooks.

Tiny Details is by no means a scam, although it is very hard to pass inspection. I have done the reindeer a few years back, but didn't have the time to finish it before the deadline. I also recently ordered the Washington Calenders from them, hoping for better luck this time. If anyone has any tips for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Momw3k - did you get paid for the reindeer you did?

I sent in a sample of the Washington Calenders, but they were rejected. I thought the sample I sent was close to perfect, but the sample they sent back did not look as good. I decided it may have been like giving birth to an ugly baby! After labor, it is beautiful, but everyone may not share the parents opinion!!

I have not resent a second sample. Ihad problems recieving my original order & they have not been very pleasant tocomunicate with. If you have been paid by them, I may give it one more shot since it is too late to try and get my money back.

Thanks,
Karen

Hi Karen,
I sent it in really late and they rejected it but it was too late to try again so I did not get paid. How long did it take to receive your Washington Calenders as it has been now 6 days since I ordered mine. Are they hard to make? I would not give up on the calenders as they are legit and it may take some time. Hope this helps.

It took between 6-8 weeks to get mine. I also ordered the Sonrise cards about the same time & got it in a matter of days.

The calender was harder then I expected. I had ordered a straight line calander (don't remember which one), but got the Washington one which has a curved top. Cutting the top is what I found hard. I thought I had the calender pages perfect, but that is what they dinged me on the most.

I may try again. I would love to be able to come back here & tell you I got paid!!

Wow I am hoping it won't take that long so as to keep you updated. When I ordered the reindeer it arrived in about a week so they may have had a shortage with yours. I may send them an email to see how much longer it may take. If they reply and say it'll take several weeks I might ask to change my order. Have you ever ordered anything else from them? Or any other company?Edited by: momw3k

I tried Tiny details as well several months ago. i sent in my first sample and recieved it back in 2-3 weeks. They sent it back with my original packaging showing me that it was damaged in the mail. I set it aside and havent tried another. I wonder if they would still accept another sample since its been so long ago.

Hi KimberlyD,
I was wondering how long it took for you to receive your order? Also, did you have good communication with the company? Thanks for any info you can give.
