Aside from everything, everyone staying away from that dreadful H1N1 flu?[/quote]

Do you mean the flu, or the dangerous vaccinations?

About the quality from the company's, I work also for CI, and their quality is so much better. I only have to be careful when it's black or dark brown. And even then it's so much better.

About the H1N1, both! haha We are not getting the vaccine for it either. Don't trust it I guess.
I thought CI went out of business. Money is pretty tight.... I don't think my husband would appreciate it if I went to invest with another crafting company, I don't know if I could get any refund out of TD or not.

Default Hello Hello

Hi to all of you crafty ladies. I quit posting on the bookmark thread cause nobody could get approved and paid. I just felt to bad about all of it. But still follow how all are doing in the crafting forum
Sorry Maria for what you have just shared.

I wanted to throw this out and see what you gals think. I am starting to think with TD, New England Crafters and EZmark these companies go with the people who are crafting the very best and give the rest a harder time of it. I always wondered why I got that unit back and then they paid me for it when I sent it back. Then I hear Nishka and Marsade are doing good and the rest of you not so good. Bad materiazls and all. Then myself and others totally saw NEC treating some really good and others like me getting the run around. And of course others for NEC told me they were treated like I was.

I am starting to really think if you do good crafting and are better than your competition you are going to get better treatment than the rest. Like they treat you bad and hope you will just go away.
Just a therory that makes sense to me. Think about it and tell me what you think.

I am still making my bookmark and getting paid.
Have been sick this past month and do think I had the piggy flu. Got sick and then it went away and came back. Bad cough and the run to the bathroom stuff.
I am better the past two days so maybe it is almost over.

Luck to all.

Cindy

I got my book sample back. They said everything was fine except when you turn the book sideways with the pages facing you, the pages slanted at the top and bottom. The sample they sent me is like that, so I didn't think I had to worry about that. Oh well.

I have been wondering where they get the samples they send. Are they pieces from approved kits from other crafters that they have accepted and would normally be for sale? I figured that's what they are, so I always thought that if you at least made your stuff as good as the samples you would be fine. Now I'm wondering if they are not-so-perfect pieces from accepted kits that they have pulled out that they can't sell so they send them out as samples instead of selling them. That's not really fair.

Anyway, the slanting thing seems pretty easy to fix. Again, I won't get to it until December until I'm back from my trip.

I'm not getting any vaccinations for the flu or swine flu. Just being careful what I touch, staying warm and washing my hands very frequently. I'm a little worried about getting on a plane, though. The air is not very sanitary, but not much you can do about that.

Smile Hey all!

I have been working with Tiny Details for over a year now and I just have to say I have always found them very easy to work with. Do they get behind sometimes? Yes, of course they do, but dont we all? I think they have over 6000 home assemblers and 5 people who work in the office....getting behind would be very easy to do. I also have to say that I have 14 deposits with them right now....which means that i have 14 kits going at any given time to keep up with. Does it get a little crazy at times? oh yeah! This gets a little more crazy when i am switching kits around. I keep a notebook though that helps me keep track of what needs to be done and what I have in to the company. I havent always passed every Kit that i have done but not everyone can do every kit. I believe we all have our niche projects. As far as payment for completed kits goes I have never had a problem. They have always payed for my accepted kits promptly and with no problems. My husband and I travel with his job and Tiny details has always been good at working with me to make sure they keep track of my orders and materials. As far as the samples are concerned I dont think they are always right off the shelves. I think they are more to give us a general idea of how things should look...how they are put together and packaged. I hope everyone has a very productive and great week!

Unhappy

Hi everybody,

I was away for a while. There was so quiet and suddenly I see some serious discussions. I've noticed that nobody from new people are getting paid or approved. But now even Ria provided very usefull information and concern on TD tracking system.
I agree with most of you that situation with TD and other craft companies is getting worse every day and there is no surprise. I constantly google or search eaby for miniature products and see that they have very low demand and are selling for very low prices. I don't think TD has higher demand on them especially with prices they sell.
So it's very obvious that inspectors and all approval process became very picky.. they just no longer need so many workers and products. I guess TD works only with limited number of people who are very easy to deal with or have more patience. But even these people can be easily changed if a better person comes. I am dissapointed that TD and other craft companies are not going to stop accepting new members as they are part of their profit.
And all these products we make... there are so many details you can go wrong... especially if you have bad quality materials. I don't know how to pass TD inspections or what is the secret way to get paid.. but definately it's not an issue with our quality of work. We are trying really really hard...

Hallie,
You said you are working with TD over a year.. so how it happened that in April of 2009 you only ordered a kit from them? How you managed to accumulate 14 kits in so short period of time - just 6 months? Here is your previous message:

Hi all! My name is Teresa and I have been watching the formus for years. I have been working with NEC for abouta year and have recently ordered from TD. Here is my question though. I ordered the Fan kit and I love doingthem but it seems like no matter how I cut them there is a white line around the edges. I have tried the gloves and I have very precise scissors. Does anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I would really appreciate any ideas! Thanks!

Default Hi

Hi 1 USA

I am hanging around today. Reading forums and brushing up on knew news about work at home companies.

I enjoyed reading the recent post in support of Tiny Details. I have read more bad than good about TD so enjoy hearing the good.

I wanted to ask about six thousand workers. From my reading the info on their web site they state they have had over six thousand workers over the years they have been in business. I am not understanding this info to mean they have six thousand workers all the time.

I guess 1USA you have thought about the info I just posted. I do think these companies may keep the very very good producers and it is about competition.

Later

Hi Cindy,

I am always open to good news but only if they are true
I agree on that TD has people who succcessfully work with them but it is not fare to attract more and more new people when it is not necessarily to... Competition is a very good market tool but in this situation new members don't have the same start point or equal "sympathy" rights... It's more like Don Quixote fight at windmills

I have done several projects for TD before the fan Kit...it was a new kit at the time to me. i was hoping for some ideas with the new project. Since that time i have done many kits for TD....Sometimes I ask for my pay and other times I roll it over to a new project. I also have 1 project that I do 5 kits at a time. I normally just watch the boards for help and support...as a lot of people do i am sure. All I am saying is that TD is a good company and that they will work with you. If one project doesnt work for you try another one .
