Well, I bit the bullet and mailed them a package on Monday, but I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Well, it's been a week since I mailed them my package. I still haven't heard anything from them. I emailed this morning to see if they had received it yet. I'll post when I get a response from them.

OKay, now I'm getting skeptical again. They definately need more contact with the people who are sending in their products. I REALLY don't think it's fair that Craft Consigners takes your crafts that you work hard on, then don't keep in constant contact regarding its sale, etc.

I'd suggest not sending anything else in until some people actually HEAR from them or get PAID.

Hello all, I have been reading through your posts and spent the weekend making a desicion that I didn't want to make. Due to the fact that some of our crafters seem to think that it is more important to sit behind this computer and email them over and over, instead of being out selling their items I have chosen to close Craftconsigners. This has been a very tough desicion, as some of our sellers are great. Then on the other hand I have people who are rude, impatient, and trying to fool me by purchasing items online or in dollar stores and jacking the prices way up and expecting me to be able to sell the items for them. While I have met many great people through my business I have also met some people who have very unrealistic expectations! No one is going to be able to sell every item that is sent to them within a week and I'm sorry but that is just reality!

I am very sorry to those of you that have not been included in the poor side of the people I have mentioned above. This decision has been very tough for me as it is not what I wanted to do, but I see no other alternative. All crafts will be returned with final payments as soon as I get everything inventoried and packaged for shipping. I wish all of you the best of luck. Kim @ Craftconsigners.com

Kim,

I'd like to say that when I first read this response it quiet hit me the wrong way. However, I do see how it could be very frustrating for you and you would just want to give it all up. Perhaps you have experienced more than I am aware of. From reading the posts, I feel that people arenot expecting a miracle but only asking for what you stated. You had stated that you would email when projects arrived and checks would be mailed out the 18th of every month and you would email on Tuesdays if items sold. Any expectations other than these were not given by you and should not be expected by us. My only down fall was not receiving a check for items sold after three months. I am sorry if you took offense to any post given by me. However, you do understand that people become very uneasy where money is involved (especially wahms!)

Great, I just mailed the stuff last week. I wonder how long it will take to get it "inventoried." I am really disappointed that the stuff I sent was delivered on Saturday (via delivery confirmation) and I haven't received an email stating that it had been received, yet there was time to read and post on a message board. I am very disappointed. I think each and every consigner deserved an individual email instead of a post onto a message board that they may or may not be a member of. Poor, poor business practice. Kim, since you have not emailed me back. (I emailed you yesterday) and you obviously are reading this board. Please just drop my angels back into another envelope with out opening them and just send them back to me. There were 60 (sixty) of them.

Thank you
Angela

Kim,

I know how hard it is to sell items, because my daughter and I have had a booth at a craft fair. It was fun and fairly successful.

The only reason people on this forum have complained is because you don't do the things you say you will do. You tell people that you will email them when you receive their items, and on Tuesdays when something has sold. You also tell people that you pay for sold items on the 15th or 18th of the month.

I, for one will be happy to receive my unsold items back, and a check for the items that you sold, but I won't hold my breath. It is only right to be paid in a timely mannerfor our work and materials for our items, and the cost of s&h to send them to you.

Good luck with your business and I wish you well.

I agree with these ladies. I know it must be frustrating to get frustated emails from your customers, but you have to remember that they are entrusting you with their crafts (it sucks that some people were trying to rip others off with dollar-store items), and they got no emails and no checks. That would scare anyone. It doesn't look good when a company doesn't do what they say they willdo, especially when money is concerned.

No one here was expecting miracles. They were just expecting emails to let them know their items were recieved, and their checks when their item sells. Even if a check is only for $7, it is money owed to the person who sent their items in.

Just my two cents. But if you're overwhelmed, then perhaps that is a sign to move on to other projects.
