I just started with them. I got my starter kit the other day. I already am working for another craft company but would like to add something else to the mix for the in between times. Is anyone else doing this? Just looking over the kit it doesn't seem too hard. I'm going to start it hopefully tomorrow.

Hi, I too am doing the ornaments. I thought it sounded simple too but the beads dont stay where they should and before you know it they are saggy. Its a nightmare honestly. I tried it and it looked a mess so i tried again with more glue. Bad idea you can see it when it dries so had to pull apart again and scrub all the beads. I am on my third attempt. I have used more than reco glue and its looking ok but it takes....hoooouuuurrrrss!!! It is untrue. I must have spent so many hours making the one. The beading alone is tough. read an article I just published on it. They dont call you back either when you contact them. Not me anyway. Let me know how you get on please. I need some tips too. lol

Canada Mom,
I haven't done anything for cash for crafts so I'm not sure if this will be helpful info or not. But I was thinking could you use spray adhesive on the styrofoam ball and use "invisible nylon thread for beading the beads. The spray adhesive that I use for things is pretty strong you just have to be careful to shake the can up and spray just the right amount. But usually it is not noticeable and the nylon thread is like fishing line but finer so it is pretty strong. Hope you get this thing licked! I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Well, I have a glue gun that puts out a drop of glue at a time so I'm thinking this might work best. I have not tried the spray adhesive although I have heard of it. I agree with the nylon thread being the best to use and I plan on using that as well. Instead of using the materials in the kit just in case I want to return it, I went out an bought some supplies from a local craft store to use first. I am also trying the macrame belts for Hands on Hobbies and so far those are looking easier to do. lol I will give this a shot though and see how it goes.
Good luck with yours! Maybe we can put our heads together and figure out a way to make this work.

The beaded ornaments look like fun. I tried another company recently and had no luck so I'm open to other adventures. LOL I have a ton of beads that I can practice with.
everyone keep us posted on this one... |

There was another company that had ornaments you could make from beads and sequins. It was quite a while ago and it looked easier than these. I can't recall the name of them. I thought about giving them a try but I had been burned so many times that I wasn't ready to chance another one.... They had a website too. I have to rack my brain and see if I can come up with the name of them.

hi all.
I am not sure about the nylon thread. I too have some but when I spoke to them it sounded like you had to use embroidery thread and they send you 2 colours. The beads match with the colour obviosuly. I have tried using some double side tape in areas which has been helping. let me know how you get on with the spray and nylon thread. If they pass you i would love to hear. messaage me personally please as I dont always get on here and can not always find the posts. It is taking hours and theres always a slight gap as the beads are not perfect in shape. It says no gaps but you can see slight ones. I am not sure how big of a gap they are refering too.

hi everyone,
my name is sarah and i am going to start making the ornaments when i recieve my package, and i was just wondering how hard is it to make? because they say it is easy to do. |

I found these quite hard to do and returned the kit and got a refund. I moved on to hands on hobbies and ordered the belt, dream catcher, and flower girl but not all at the same time. I have been approved on the belt and am now working on the dream catcher and flower girl.
