My first try was crushed in the mail. So I redid it and sent it in and passed . It is fun and I enjoy it.I can't think of any that would be easier. But I do the tutu and it isfun and not to hard. It all depends on what you like to do. I did the reindeer and really didn't like that. I had passed but just quit doing it. I also do the poodle skirt and gingerbread boy.

The drum is my first kit & the instructions for it are pretty easy. I didn't buy the dvd and don't think I need it, either. Some of the projects, from what I hear, are more dificult, so the dvd might be a good idea for those.

Thank you kathi for the good wishes on the gingerbread boy.

I think the waiting for the inspection processs is the hardest part. I am bored. I am thinking of getting another kit to fill in the down time but I am leary since I have not actually passed either one yet and made any money back.

I am thinking of getting the gingerbread house or the raindeer because of the season coming up. I read the gingerbread house is the same as the tropical bird house. I think that having a couple of the kits that have some of the same supplies would be a good idea.
Just a thought.
Well, thanks again and good luck with your projects too.

Ok, I have completed my first drum sample. I'm not sure it'll pass, though. I think I used too much glue and now that I've done it, I don't think I was supposed to fold the ribbon over on all 4 sides. Ooops. I guess I have to send it anyway though, right? Were were only supposed to fold it on the short sides, or all 4? The directions really didn't specify, so I did all 4.

Oh well. Trial & error.

Ok, one more question. If I put my sample drum in a tp holder & put that in a flat, mailing envelope, will it arrive intact? Or, do I need to send it in a small box?
Thanks!

Well I just finished my second birdhouse. I know it's not going to pass, you can see glue on the roof. The feathers they gave me were really curly and the vein is really thin so it's hard not to see glue. The sample they gave me had nicer feathers and I'm sure that makes a difference, Other than that the rest is pretty easy. I'm thinking about doing another project too. The wait is long and I want to be working on something, maybe the gingerbread house which is want I wanted to do in the first place but they were out of supplies and sent me the birdhouse. Good luck everyone!! Karen

Have you tried bubble wrap?. Iwrapped my birdhouse in it and NEC reused it to send it back. It worked really well

So when the shipping says 3 weeks does it really take that long? Are the gingerbread boys or the reindeer hard ? They look like things I have made before? The drum looks easy maybe that is what I should start out with.
