Hi everyone-someone posted this link in my last NEC post before I found this post for "everything" NEC so I thought I would add it here for you...it is the forum for NEC. When I tryto access it through their website it says it is having problems, but through this link it works! Good Luck everyone!

Just wondering, do they usually send an e-mail confirming payment? My payment cleared on the 18th & I haven't heard anything.

I never got a confirmation for any of mine. But they do send them out 1-2 weeks after they get the payment.

Ok. Just wanted to be sure my payment had not been overlooked. So, I guess I'll just be patient and wait for my shipment. Thanks!

My Little Drum starter kit came, today!!! My bf just rolls his eyes at me, but maybe he'll think twice when I actually make this work and get a paycheck! Wish me luck!

Hello all. I have been trying to catch up on some postings about NEC because I have been away for awhile. I have been reading some good news about some getting approved... this is great news. I have 2 kits out and have sent in samples and I am still not approved. I got some great ideas (tips) too. I am working on the scottie magnet and have also had trouble with the face and appriciate the tip about the template.I think this is going to help a great deal since I have not passed inspection on this for 5 trys.
Thank you so much.

I am also working on the gingerbread boy. I think this is a lot easier than the magnet and I am really enjoying it. I just sent in my first sample for inspection on it.

Good luck garnetgirl with the drum and all others.Edited by: cafay1

Ok, I have a question about the drum. Are they sending everyone the ric rac to use rather than the gold border? My sample has a gold border on it, but they sent me some ric rac that, in my opinion, is too big for the drum. The stuff on the sample looks much better! Once I got the top and bottom layers of the ric rac on, there's no space in between! Is this what they want???

I did get different kinds of ric rac with mine. I have never had any that big. But if that is what they sent you that is what you should use. On my drums they have been sending me a sequin ricrac which is really nice. They have a hard time getting it that is probably why they send different ones.

Ok, well, maybe they just sent if for practice then, because with the ric rac on, I can barely see the cording!

I wish they would send templates so we don't have to waste time measuring everything out. But, I guess I can make my own if I decide to stick with this project.

How many times have you done this project, Kathi? Have you tried any other that you think are just as easy if not easier?

Thanks!
