ga The drum would be a good choice for you. I do it and it is fun. I have not bought any of the dvds so really don't know what they are like. I passed the drum in 2 tries. The instructions with it are very good and the sample helps alot Hope this helps some . Edited by: kathi

I did it! I just ordered the starter kit for the little drum. I'm taking your word & didn't order the dvd. I don't want to waste my money.

I'm guessing that the crafts that pay $450 are difficult to do? or are very time consuming? How many projects do most of you do? Do you always do the same ones or do you like to mix it up and order different ones? I saw that once they receive your shipment, they send you another set. Do you only pay for the first time or for every shipment of the same kind? So, if you send in a shipment, and decide you don't want to do that one anymore, will they send whichever one you request?

Thanks!
Carrie

Hello again! Well, I called NEC to see if I could exchange my toe ring set for the drum and was told that once you use the items in the kit (try to put a sample together) that you cannot exchange it! She gave me a couple of pointers on the cone though so I will try those but still do not think that I will suceed....I think that I might be able to return the kit but have to pay a $15 re-stocking fee, and then order another kit so I would be out $15. Does anyone happen to have a copy of the video for the toe ring set that they no longer need or are willing to make a copy of for me?? I would greatly appreciate it! Well....here's hoping for a good try!

I received my tropical birdhouse back with only a couple of adjustments. They told me the bird needs to painted a solid color which I did, but the colors on the bird came through so I'll have to paint it twice and see if that works. Another was the feathers need to be more consistent, whatever that means. The feathers they sent me are much shorter than on the sample and they are really curly! These are fun to make and they are so cute! Karen

Do they send you the paint they want you to use for the the painting projects or do you supply that yourself?

NEC supplied the paint for the birdhouse, however I did have to buy the spackel because it is too heavy to ship, but after you are approved they will reimburse you for it. This is what I was told.

Hi! To answer your questions, you only pay for the first shipment. After you are approved you will be reimbursed for that and any new products you want to make you pay again for the first order and so on. NEC will send you with detailed instructions with your order. Good Luck on the little drums! Karen

Hi everyone! I just registered onto this website and this is my first posting. I am new to NEC and just received my first project today. I chose the Carousel Horse and from the instructions it doesn't sound too hard but I thought before I started I'd ask any of you if you have worked on it yet and if so, do you have any suggestions or helpful tips. Thanks.
