I received my tropical birdhouse critique on Sat. So it took just over 2 weeks. They told me good try for my first time. I guess I used too much glue on the birds head and the feathers came off the bird during shipment. So I am to make another one on Tuesday. I have to work this weekend. I hope you all are crafting well. Good luck!!!

Hi, Tink it sounds like you did good on that penquin.Wrapping the wool is the hard part. Good luck with your next try.
Good luck everyone else with your next tries!

Okay I found out about this company in an email from a friend and thought I'd look around. I need to find something to do as I'm going to be a new mommy in December and DH just bought a different vehicle that put us a little tight, so I've been searching on how I can make some extra money to help out with this lovely payment. I don't need to make a lot of money a month. I would love to make a minimum of $500 a month. I'm going to try and do some gpt's and thought about this as well.

Anyway, my question is, on average how much is anyone making and how many craft projects would I have to sign up to make $500 a month? And, is this work pretty steady?

Well, I think that's all the questions that I have for right now. Thank you to everyone for your input.

Hello Everyone!
This is my first post...although I have been reading this forum (especially this topic) for sometime now....and after a lot of reading and careful consideration I finally took the plunge and ordered my first starter kit from NEC today!! I decided to try the sheep b/c he looked the easiest (let's hope so!)
Has anyone here have experience with the sheep? Have you been approved? I can't wait to get my kit!!

Thanks,
~Sarah

Hey you guys, I got my 1st critique back on my penquin...although I did not pass . Like you tink28, glitter issues (need to be more consistent, which I agree) and my wool wrapping was too thin. I see that now, he needs some more meat on his bones! I also got a "very good 1st try" so I'm pleased as punch!
But, everything else was correct, which leads me to conclude that what they're looking for is neatness. Do you guys remember me trying to make my penguin look like the sample which meant I didn't exactly follow the pattern provided. like the 1 piece beak vs 2 piece beak and wing shape. I did get a correct on those...so I'm thinking neatness & consistancy counts big!

Welcome to all of the new crafters wishing everyone much success and lots of fun working on their projects. Nanc

ps..no word on my snowman yet and i sent both in at the same time...I hope that means good news!

OMG guys! You know how NEC posts it's list of "approved Goddesses" on it's web site...well, i do check it frequently just to imagine my name there and to my surprise....Nancy M from TX is on the list....could it be so...dare I even think it...hope for it?!?!...could it be really be little old me?!?! I'm so excited at the thought...just seeing it..I'm gonna print it out even though it might not be me...it'll be a good motivator!
Well, I just wanted to share my joy even though it may be fleeting...it does feel wonderful just thinking it could be me...and wouldn't that be grand! Nancy M from TX

blakesmommy, congratulations on taking that 1st step. Those wee magnetsare cute-as-can-be! I hope you get your kit soon and that you have as much fun as I did waiting for that little box and opening it up. It felt like Christmas in July to me!

On another note...I'm pleased as punch to say that my wee little snowman has finally earned a PASS! I can't believe it...all of that wishing and it was little old me on that list! Woo Hoo I'm excited and doing the dance of joy. So if I can do it ANYwhodillywho can! BTW I mailed my 2nd penguin attempt off this past Tuesday...cross your fingers. Nanc
