Marie,
You can use paint pens to do the lettering on the cases. Didn't find that out until after I sent in my samples. A circle cutter has helped me on the circles. I can't keep my hands steady long enough to cut it with scissors. A thick ruler and a rotary cutter also helps for the straight cuts.

Good luck!

Debbie, Thank you so much...i was actually just reading one of your posts in the NEC message boards about that...that is very good to know. I am sure that the paint pen makes it a lot easier than trying to do it with paints and brushes.
Once again, Thank you!

Default Any advice on paper CD case?

Hi, everyone! I'm new to NEC. And I just received my paper CD case kit last week. I was so busy doing Christmas shopping and stuff and hadn't touch the kit until yesterday.
So yesterday, I watched the DVD and got the general idea of making those CD cases, started on my first sample. I had no trouble until folding crepe paper like fan. On DVD, it looked easy. But when I look at the sample they sent me with the kit, it is way neater than what I saw on DVD. If you are working on paper CD cases, how can you do it neatly? I did have a little trouble painting MGC logo, but I guess I can use a paint marker or something. I should have bought that while I was in town yesterday...
Anyway, it is a lot of fun working on this! I hope I can get any advice!! Thanks!

Most of the time, if you keep trying, you can usually figure out how to do it. If you still need help, there's usually someone here who can help you out.

Default NEC Forum

Hi, it's me again.
I'm just wondering... I registered on their forum last week but when I go to their forum it says "account pending approval." Does it take this long to get approved? Just wondering...

kcduffer,
Thanks! You are so right. I thought it was really hard at first, but I kept doing it over and over, I figured it out.
It is good to know that there are someone here who can help too!

Default NEC forum

bbmama,
It took me more than a week to become approved for the NEC Forum, but i also signed up for it before ordering a kit and soon after ordering i was approved. Not sure why it is taking so long for you to get approved for that forum.

Good Luck,
Maire
