Things are happening on the NEC forum. Chers has taken the meet and greet section out, and has made it read only. She says the new forum will be up in a week.

Well let's hope that means that the NEC forum will actually have more activity and helpful to new crafters.

ok...so...I got back my inspection for that evil carousel horse demon. LOL As I figured, it didn't pass. I hadincluded anote in the inspection papers asking them if I could switch toa different project if it didn't pass this time.

Well, they sent me more supplies for the horse!!grrrr....I can't see me actually making these. They are just too difficult for me to do correctly consistently. I think I am going to call the company and see if I talk to someone if they will still let me trade. I was hoping they would have sent me supplies for a different project like I had asked..and hoped for..LOL

Well, I'm done venting now...LOL

I am sorry to hear about your demon....I mean horse LOL, when I switched from old style scottie to the new one, I just sent them an e-mail and they sent one back within a few days saying to send back all my old unused materials and they would send me the new scottie.

I just finished making the new scottie and I think it looks good, now of course we will see what they say. If they don't pass it I have to say I will be very upset as I think mine looks very much like the sample they sent. It seems much easier to me than the old one. only one little stitch for the mouth part of it to get straight.

Good luck Alicia, hang in there and try sending an e-mail if you don't call them, it worked for me

Leighamarie- I am glad they switched it for you! The old scottie isn't too bad, a little practice and some really sharp scissors. The newer one does look easier. I am glad they are switching to something a bit easier.

I am waiting to hear about my old style scottie and kitty. I also just sent out my standing poodles (old style) today. So, I am on my 3rd try with all of them. I should hear about the scottie and kitty soon. I have EXTREMELY sharp scissors, but yet they keep telling me to cut smoother or neater? All of my corners are sharp and all of my curves are smooth with no points or jags so I am not sure what the heck they are talking about. LOL But if mine don't pass this time, they should the next try or two.

Is anyone having trouble accessing the new NEC forum? Everytime I go to log in, it shuts down my Internet Explorer. EVERY TIME!

About this evil horse:

ya know the worst part about this is...I thought ok..so they want me to keep trying I guess...(not that it would make any difference, believe me) so I thought oh well...here we go..and thought I would at least try to paint the dowels tonight. Well, I pulled them out of the bag, and 2 of the 3 are broken! Split longways down the middle one was (VERY obvious) and the other one was split too but the one side must've broke off. No pieces in the bag. ??? I don't know how that could've got overlooked, but maybe they are really busy and the bagger didn't notice ..somehow...but now I am really upset. Not only didI NOT want to do these anymore, but then when I thought well..at least try it again (why do I punish myself this way?) I find the dowels broke. Needless to say, this has made me even more resentful towards this little demon project. LOL I am definitely going to contact the company and see if they will consider switching, and if not...send me some more stinkin' dowels. LOL

evil little horses....
