You are welcome Thanymom, I have fun with them. I am sure it will take a bit to get approved but they are enjoyable to do --- for me at least!! Good luck!

Default CDs for sale Penguin and wool Snowman

Hey gals,

Once again, I have 2 unused instructional CDs for sale. I ordered the starter kits, then broke my hand. No craft work for me for a long while, I am afraid. Penguin and wool Snowman CDs. Both for $20. I will pay for the first class mailing. Pay me after you receive them! Use paypal or MO. I am trusting you for the payment, so only those who have been posting here may order, so I know who I am dealing with....
Thanks. God bless. Reply to jpstrap@verizon.net

Default scottie poodle advice

Hey craftin granny, nice to see you over here.
I haven't been able to finish my scottie magnet yet. I've been going crazy making this miniture jewelry box from CI.

Now a quick question. I have my old sample which was on a round wood board, but when they sent me a new sample, it has a square wooden board. Should I make the dots on there the same way I did on the round wood?

Also, does anyone sand the wood down first before they begin to paint?

Thanks family

Default Poodle Magnent

So I have been doing the sitting poodle. I do enjoy it but I'm not so sure I like the cutting. I think I would rather do something else. Do I have to wait until the 5th failure to switch? I'm not even sure what I would do. I have been looking at the snowman. Has anyone done that? Can anyone give me a little detail on what is involved? Also I was reading about the tropical bird house and everything sounds enjoyable for that but I am curious about the spackling. Is that hard to do? Or is it time consuming? I'm just looking for minimal cutting I think. Any suggestions?

Tiffap,
I think you have to wait until #5 to trade.
The spackling is the stuff you use on drywall to patch holes and such. The most time consuming part is waiting for the spackling to dry. I use the kind that goes on pink and dries white, so I will know it's all the way dry. The feathers are time consuming at first. But I found that if I measure 1 then hold it to another feather, I can cut out several strips before I start gluing them on. It goes faster that way for me.

Have you tried using freezer paper to cut out the felt? It helps alot. It sticks pretty well. Just be sure to not get the iron too hot. If it starts to come unstuck, you can just use the iron again to secure it. I used my scanner to scan the picture into Word and printed it out on freezer paper. To do that, tape the freezer paper to card stock so it will feed through the printer. Just be sure you are using an ink jet printer. I think it might mess up a laser printer. also be sure to check that the size is the same as the original.......If you can't do it that way, you can simply trace the picture onto the freezer paper and iron it on. The directions are also on the package of freezer paper. It's in the isle with foil and ziploc bags. I also found some at Walmart in the sewing section. It is in a hanging pack and is in sheets, ready for the printer. It's sold as a quilter's help aid. These papers costs a little more but are so much easier to use and are made for ink jet printers.

The clay snowman...all that is cut is the sign. I haven't done the fiber one, so can't help with that.
